Any one who has been to Deby before know of any decent boozers up there?

I have been told there are a few near the station which I guess will be used.

As for the game, im going for a 2-0 win for us. Battling performance from Derby, but goals from Boa Morte and Bowyer either side of H/T will secure 3 points for us.

That's the one area I'm really worried about. We only really have Bowyer fit for the middle. Whilst he isn't bad defensively, that's not his strength, imo, and we need a more defensive player in there as well.

I'm not sure if Quashie is fit enough to be considered (I read last week he was training again), so it looks like we're really struggling there. Curbs seems to think Spector can do a job, but I haven't been massively convinced
Hopefully Quashie will be back... be interesting to hear about the extent of Mullins and Nobles injuries

If Noble and Mullins are still out I reckon we should bring in Collinson. Surely he is a much better option than spector

Anyone know what the parking is like near Pride Park?

Also certainly no chance of seeing Bellers play as he's definately out of the Wales internationals. No probably wont see him until the Spuds game.

I think we need a win and Cole to score a couple to boost his confidence before the Spuds game.

I'm pretty sure that Mullins wasnt fully fit for the start of the Boltonmatch either, but played anyway. Looked to me like he was having strapping re-applied when he went off after 20 minutes - so i think he probably started the game strapped up.

I think we should look at this game for what it is, hopefully the last time we need to field a reserve XI!

Many reactions to the Bolton game were OTT and i fear anything other than the 3 points and we'll see more people shouting for the managers head. We shouldn't forget that we were only 2 terrible Solano misses from beating Pompey away and 1 minute from beating a team who are in Europe!

We 'should' be sitting in 8th with our reserves playing, as it is we are in 11th, a quarter final of the cup to come and a host of our star players returning soon. While some don't like Curbs, few would deny that had we been playing either Bellamy or Ashton on Sunday, we would have finished Bolton off sooner.

Looking at it we should go with-

1. Green

2. Neill
3. Gabbidon
4. Upson
5. McCartney

6. Solano
7. Bowyer
8. Quashie
9. Boa Morte
10. Etherington

11. Cole

Subs - Wright, Spector, Collinson, Reid, Camara

Quashie played 88 minutes for the reserves and has been in training for awhile now so I think we should start him. He's not a favorite and there are other names i'd rather see playing if fit but I think we should go on the side of caution. Lets concentrate on getting everyone fit for the Spurs match.

Etherington is the main man for us at the moment and I feel that while we keep him and McCartney together on the left we'll cause problems for Derby. We have been lucky to keep the backline settled and we'll need them to be on their game as players like Varnes, Miller and Earnshaw can cause problems on their day

We've been at our best away from home, playing with pace and energy. We still have the players to fit the formation and I think we'll come away with a 3-1 win.

Derby 1 - 3 West Ham

Miller, Etherington, Cole & Bywater OG!

any news on injuries?
Is it really the return of a Nigel to the heart of WHU's midfield?

Aye, it's a bit hard to post any predictions, or possible line ups when we haven't got a clue who (if anyone!) will be fit for the game

I mean, is Mullins definitely out, after hobbling off vs Bolton?

Is Quashie ready to play a part, as I read a week or so ago he was back training?

How about Freddie, Ashton & Collins, who have all taken some part in training this week?

I hope we have some of those available, as we may be looking at a midfield of Nobby, Pants, Bowyer, Spector & Ethers!

I think these are the available players (possibly not Collins, possibly Mullins - anyone know?)

GKs: Green, Wright
D: Neill, Spector, Pantsil, Upson, McCartney, Gabbidon, Collins
M: Reid, Ljungberg, Bowyer, Boa Morte, Etherington, Solano, Collison
F: Camara, Cole, Ephraim

Tough choice.

I think either...

.................................Green.................................
Neill..................Upson.....Gabbidon.........McCartney
Ljungberg..........Solano....Bowyer...........Etherington
........................Camara....Cole.............................

Subs: Wright, Spector, Collison, Boa Morte, Ephraim

...or...

................................Green..................................
Neill.................Upson......Gabbidon..........McCartney
Solano............Collison.......Bowyer..........Etherington
..............................Ljungberg................................
.................................Cole....................................

Subs: Wright, Spector, Reid, Boa Morte, Camara

Um, loathe him or love him (not too many I would imagin) if fit Quashie should and must play assuming Mullins is not available. The back four have been solid most of the season and alot of that is due to the way Mullins plays, and quashie is also a more defensive minded midfield player, he also has the experience of these types of games and that is exactly what we need.

IMO we should go with

Green
Neill Gabbs Upson Linda
Quashie
Nobby Bowyer Etherington
Cole Camara

Subs; Wright, LBM, Collison, Spector & Reid

If Ljungberg or anyone else is fit then it can only get better and stronger.

Would expect a win, don't care how just as long as we get the three points

I'd go along with that. We need either Mullins or Quashie to play, otherwise it could be Spector & Bowyer in the middle, which would be worrying.

I guess Ljungberg would be on the bench if he's fit enough to play a part

The only other choice is between LBM & Camara. I'd be tempted to go with LBM, despite his strange display against Bolton, but play him up with Cole

Do you have the squad handy? Quashie in there?

Edit: Found it now.

Green, Wright, Neill, Gabbidon, Upson, McCartney, Ferdinand, Collins, Solano, Bowyer, Mullins, Etherington, Boa Morte, Cole, Pantsil, Spector, Camara, Reid, Ljungberg, Ashton.

No Quashie and no Collison either. Disappointing. I'd go for Solano-Bowyer in the middle, probably.

Double-edit: Oh wait, Mullins is in there. Duh.
