A Geordie friend of mine went to the game and said a poor Derby team really battled for this and made Newcastle look even poorer. These things regularly happen. How else did we stay up last year? Will be pleased if we don't get beaten today.

LAWRO PREDICTS

Derby v West Ham

I still think Derby are, unfortunately, doomed but the law of averages says Billy Davies' side will win again sometime and I reckon it could happen this weekend.

West Ham seem to be running out of players. They have got injuries in every area and they have still got only Carlton Cole available to play up front.

Prediction: 2-0

I make him right on this except that the score will be 2-1 Derby

that's a very good point, my silly mistake.

as for being called unrealistic, i'm the first one to say that 17th would be a good season. what i do expect is to be mildly entertained once in a while.

is that too much?

Lets prove that Fecker wrong.

Away from home we have taken points from Birmingham, Reading, and Portsmouth. If we play reasonably well and dont sit back Derby are there for the taking. But I just feel that we may struggle

If kenny miller is playing then they have a chance as he's the only one scoring for derby. But i reckon we'll just nick this 1-0. It's going to be tough though.

Is Ashton and Freddie in the squad?

Ashton I thought was a huge no no until the spuds game, even then he will not be sharpe.

As for Freddie he looks as if he is going to be fit just in time for the internationals.....

Me too. Derby are due a win and we are always one of those teams who lose to teams who are due a win. No doubt some ***** player who hasn't scored for fifty years will get a hattrick, Like carbone did that time, or ****ing barmby

Defeat today would just be the icing on the cake after last week.

We so need to get better at six-pointers and trample on the teams in the bottom third.
