How is Sigurdsson a one season wonder?
Because he has played one season in the premier league.

If we signed Barton he'd play wide with say Vaz the other side and Cole through the middle. Similar to the role that Collison plays I'd like to see N'Zonzi in our midfield with Noble and Nolan next season myself. ...

He has got better over the years and has learned to control his temper.....However he is likely to lose it at any moment and could be a complete liability!
We should take a wide berth!

Sigurdsson never played for Reading in the PL. He was in their youth team at the time.

Richardson will be an excellent signing if we get him. That sorts left back/left wing completely with McCartney/Taylor/Richardson/Potts all capable of playing.
That leaves us (imho) with needing 2 experienced centre halves to back up Tomkins and Reid. A right back to challenge Demel, one creative midfielder, loan move for a Lansbury replacement, one striker.

If the stuff about Palace wanting Baldock on loan next season are on the money, would hopefully allow an opening to negotiate with them regarding Zaha, Clyne or Parr. They seem a lot better at aggressively guarding their players than many clubs, so being on good terms with them would probably be more helpful than it would in other cases

Hopefully something we are considering is giving Crystal Palace Baldock in exchange for Zaha. Would like to keep Baldock and hopefully we could sort out some type of loan to them but if they only wanted a permanant transfer we should do it. Zaha really impressed me at Upton Park this year, has a load of pace and flair and will only get better. Should do all we can to get him, even if that does mean letting Baldock go

He was supposedly on £8500 a week when that list of wages was leaked

The "leaked" salaries were a) reported to be false by our chairmen, and b) Sears signed a new contract shortly afterwards.

well imho he's a dutch peter crouch..he's not the quickest but he's pretty mobile for a big lad..he's passionate as well (seen him tear his shirt apart a few times when he didn't score in a game) and he definetly fits the 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 system of sam. needs aerial service though cause his best skill is his heading ability.

It wouldn't surprise me. He was supposed to be Englands next great striker, and they were giving out mental contracts to everyone.

Id like N'Zonzi too. But I also hope we go for a bit of pace on the right instead.of Collison/Barton type hybrid wide men.

I'm sure I remember loads of people ****ing themselves silly after he scored on his debut and saying things of a similar ilk

So would I although I do think a pacey/tricky player one side with a Collison/Barton type player the other side does give good balance. And seeing as Sam didn't play with 2 attacking wide players in the Championship I very much doubt he will in the Premiership.....
