Yeah but Lumpolard and Rio had been sold before that season. Let's not forget, our larger squad was pretty ***** in the season we went down - we had Ian Pearce up front at one point.

My first ever game at UP stood on the side balcony bit of the North Stand with my dad. Amazing atmosphere. Don't remember much of the game apart from when Allen scored and in the second half when it seemed the whole place continuously chanted "Lou Macari's Claret n Blue Army".

Its funny how seeing the different tops reminds me of the different times in my life - like AVCO, BAC - School, Dagenham Motors - College, Dr Martins - Work.
