You had to be there to see and believe it. Will never happen again. Cup Final against Liverpool came close IMO.

I know that's why I'm so gutted I wern't alive back then. That's what I found amazing we were 3 down wern't we and still create an atmosphere like that, wish we could get them days back or at least create an atmosphere half as good.

Back in the days CH when even Warnock liked us. I remember watching the video of MoTD when I got back from Villa Park and he was raving about our support in the second half.

Think of the experienced people that Brian Moore used to have in the studio for the Big Match, mate.
Malcolm Allison,Brian Clough,Pat Crerand,Derek Dougan.A former player come Director,then Linesman - Jimmy Hill.
That doesn,t include the likes of Bobby Moore,being a guest,and the likes of Rodney Marsh,Bestie and Jimmy Greaves appearing.

Always used to watch the Cup Final on ITV.

One for you Homerton...I came across on Youtube the Mansfield vs. Your Lot 3-3 game from late 70's when you were in Div 2 played on an absolute mud bath and Barry Daines miss-kicking a through ball to allow the equaliser. Remember watching it on The Big Match and it was some game and a reminder of just how bloody entertaining the football of old was :thup:
