Re: Snap ownership poll
I am a don't know.
Ferdandez would be my first choice but he will be distracted by the formation of the Lotus F1 team.
Gold and Sullivan will give us 100% commitment and will run us as a business and unlike Brown the fan, a well run business, what more can you ask.
Look at our turnover compared to Spurs, we should do a lot better than we are, Bubbles 1966 will back me up!
Anything than the useless failed bankers!

Re: Snap ownership poll
I personally voted G&S...
I believe they done a decent enough job at Birmingham and that is all I am basing my opinion on. I dont care whether we have a sugar daddy, I just want to see us run properly and for me they have are in the best position to help achieve this.
Fernandes to me is an unknown... I know he looks good on paper and I would be happy to back him if he brought the club I would just rather place my faith in the people who I at least know about and those that have a track record in running a football club

what?Trap1 wrote: A detect a touch of snobbery from you Fiddy!!!
I mention Sulivans Mrs died (killed herself because of the porn industry) and he went on to exploit her name in porn films, and that Fernandes is an accountant not just a smiley PR genius, and Im a snob.
Trap why not avoid addresing the points, oh hang on! I see what you did.
Using your style of point scoring hows this.
What would Sulivan do with Bobby Moores memory?
I give you the moment Sullivan and Gold decided to sell Birmingham:
In 2004 a proposal was put forward to build a "sports village" comprising a new 55,000 capacity stadium for the club, to be known as the City of Birmingham Stadium, other sports and leisure facilities, and a super casino. The project would be jointly financed by Birmingham City Council, Birmingham City F.C. (via the proceeds of the sale of St Andrew's) and the casino group Las Vegas Sands. The feasibility of the plan depended on the government issuing a licence for a super casino, and Birmingham being chosen as the venue, but this did not happen.
Lawd knows what 3rd party non-football related agendas they have for us, I bet the Olympics is just one punt at development.
Development is fine, but when it comes to a football club, the football club needs to come first not the profit

Good. A hands-off chairman is just what we need. As long as he signs the cheques and lets the management run the club a la Lerner at Villa he gets my vote.beckton wrote:............

Plus he
a) exists and
b) doesn't rely on wankfodder for his income.

Re: Snap ownership poll
The sad thing is. Whoever eventually takes the club out of the hands of the bankers will do whatever they like with it and in the process say b*llocks to the fans opinions....... Anyone who thinks anything differently, is seriously deluding themselves i'm afraid.
In the eyes of the modern club owners the fans are just another stream of business income and a not very significant one at that.
All that matters to them is that there is another fan ready to buy your ticket when you say you have had enough. Preferably a richer one at that....... It makes the atmosphere at the ground better for TV you see..............
Cynical?.......... Yes.
True, ............. Yes.

I voted for TF, you can't knock his business acumen, and he is so passionate about us.
That said, I just want an end to this Straumur nightmare. I would be more than happy with G&S or another.
A little dubious over the secrecy surrounding Intermarket, but I think time has shown that they are not serious bidders.

Re: Snap ownership poll
I'm voting Fernandes but G&S would do too. This club is big enough to stand on its own two feet so long as it is properly and professionally run. Which it hasn't been for too long...

We all would have liked to have seen Zarate sign
Upson, Pennant, Heskey were all big signings for a club of their size
They have witnessed a league cup final... which they lost narrowly on penalties to the scumbags that beat us on penalties a few years back
Where you see mediocracy... I see them having a damb sight more to work with here and the potential to make more money (and so spend more money) if they run the club properly!
I really couldnt care less as long as we are taken over and it benefits the club, however my lack of knowledge regarding Fernandes makes me suspicious

Dugarry was a special signing for Birmingham fans... 5 goals in 5 games to keep them up a few years agonoble art wrote:in that case,we are better off having uncle terrence back!!

To be fair to Carnage, I think we should have an extra spot for those who want to keep CB Holdings.

I don't know a great deal about the finer detail but Fernandes looks like the best bet to me.

Gold and Sullivan for me. They have previous experience and the Hammers have a place in their hearts.
