Charlton Athletic Announce 4-year deal with Nike
Following promotion from League One to the Championship, Charlton Athletic have announced that Nike will be its new kit manufacturer as from the 2012/13 season. The new deal will initially run for four years, until the end of the 2016//17 season.
The new deal with Nike means that Charlton’s current deal with Italian kit manufacturer Macron which lasted two seasons, will end.
Addicks chief executive Stephen Kavanagh said: “We’re delighted to have agreed a four-year deal with Just Sport, who represent Nike, and it’s fantastic to be working with one of the world’s leading kit manufacturers and brands.
“With our current deal with Macron concluding at the end of the season, we had to act swiftly.
“We talked to a number of companies, but when it comes to sports manufacturers, you can’t get better than Nike and we had no hesitation in coming to an agreement.”

why oh why do the fools who make these kits have to ruin them since when did an Arsenal shirt need to have a blue coller.
Re: the New kits thread
god, that arsenal shirt is foul. How on earth can clubs pay people fortunes to make such terrible kits.

Agreed. But, of course, Arsenal wore black and white hooped socks for many years, so black has some linkage.stuboy wrote:Errr, looks black to me mate. But gash indeed.

Re: the New kits thread
I walked past a market stall in Malaysia yesterday selling that new Arsenal shirt and I thought "That is the worst fake I've ever seen. Looks nothing like Arsenal's kit!" The counterfeiters are clearly clued up better than I am!

I really, really like the Charlton kit.fjthegrey wrote:Charltons kit.
Simple, tasteful and traditional.
It is amazing that the design team at Nike can create something as classy as that, but as **** as the Arsenal shirt.
