There wont be a lot of difference from this years kit ( no dicky dirt boys of 86 shirt). plain Claret Body and Blue sleeves...as expected... with a blue V Neck with White Applications ( Umbro logo etc). There will be a slight triangle texture on the upper part of the shirt to replicate the floodlights at the stadium. Plain white shorts and plain white socks. There will be light blue shorts and socks as alternative kit combination for away games.
Based on this design but with the new crest and no square patch.

The away kit will be a light grey/silver v Neck shirt with Claret and Blue neck and cuffs, in the style of the 1980 kit, Umbro currently have a "CAST IRON" marketing theme.

West Ham will also have a 3rd kit where it will be quite different to what we're used to.
There is a rumour that it will be a full Black round neck kit with florescent pink and florescent blue HOOPED applications. The hoops will be on the neck and cuffs only, the Body is plain.

Is there a particular reason we often manufacture with Umbro? We've had a spell with Macron which was awful imho, and Adidas the last couple of seasons, but other than that it's always been Umbro the last decade. Just wondering really.

Not the exact numbers but it was reported at the time of signing that it was a 5 year deal worth around 20m.

The deal was our highest ever for a kit manufacturer and the 4m per year is supposed to be close to double what adidas were paying us so it was a no brainer for the club.

Betway are supposed to have given us around 20m to take over from Alpari and be our shirt sponsor for what was left of last season and the whole of this season too. I can imagine that whoever pays to have their logo on our shirt next season will have to pay quite a bit more than that with the stadium move and potential of Europe looming.

Won't be an issue if we are going after the likes of Qatar Airways though.

I'm going to get one of these kits in the summer, if they come with a built in six pack.

Isn't that Wednesday badge the same one they used in the 50s, 60s and 70s? Looks mighty familiar if not...

I Googled it earlier 'cos I wasn't sure if it was a joke or not.

It's on the club website, but that made me wonder why they would revert to it - it looks a bit naff and clunky, especially compared to the sleek, Internet-friendly outline of an owl they've used since the 90s.
That crest was introduced in 56 - so this year might be its 60th annivesary - a bit of a weird thing to commemorate though.
Next year might also be the club's 150th anniversary - but it's a bit lame to start celebrating a year ahead, if that's the reason and why that crest?

The answer is that the club are changing their crest to celebrate their first year under a new chairman and this badge was selected to as it supposedly represents the past and future - a slight tweak on the original badge of the 50s.

The original was never used on a shirt, but the new version will be on the kit from next season.
