Chelsea Wears Old Kit In 2018 FA Cup Final - Here Is Why
If you watched yesterday's FA Cup final between Manchester United and Chelsea, you might have wondered why Chelsea did not use their 2018-2019 home kit by Nike as they already debuted that kit in last weekend's Premier League match against Newcastle...
Chelsea debuted their brand-new 2018-19 home shirt in the last Premier League match of the 2017-18 season against Newcastle last weekend, but reverted back to the rather plain 2017-18 home kit yesterday. The reason is that club are not allowed to wear a different shirt to the ones registered at the start of the season in the FA Cup.

New Balance trying a blatant rip off of the Adidas late 80's and Early 90's geometric template. Doesn't actually look too bad, in a distastefully tasteful kind of way.

Re: the New kits thread
I see Pellegrini is holding the back of our new home kit, so we have a bit of a sneak peak. Looks like it won't have blue sleeves, so maybe based on the 85/86 season again?
Any word on when all the kits will be revealed/released?

Re: the New kits thread
The home kit is predominately claret with sky blue trim - as in the picture.
The away kit will be blue with gold trim - like a darker tone of Royal Blue, similar to the keeper's kit of the season just gone.
The third kit will be grey.
Goalkeepers kit will be black.

Re: the New kits thread
This is related, but one thing that irks me is our constant shirt sponsorship deals with small time, unknown businesses, most of whom end up folding.
It would be a step in the right direction if our new shirt sponsor (this year or next?) is a company with greater global presence and better image than an online betting company, double glazing or a local car dealer....its very league 1.
https://www.totalsportek.com/football/p ... hip-deals/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
You would have thought with our proximity to the city and the hire of a global football name we could have come up with a shirt sponsor a little more inspiring? Anyone know when the new shirt sponsorship deal is due?

Wolves have got the right idea. They've binned off their existing deal from the Championship for a new sponsor.Benny the Ball wrote:Anyone know when the new shirt sponsorship deal is due?

Re: the New kits thread
The link shows the gulf between the big 6 (£25M plus) and the rest (up to £9.6M).

Answering my own question, we have Betway for 2 more years....not a great deal methinks and it will be interesting to see what Liverpool come up with when they renegotiate.

Not sure I've ever been impressed by any grey kits I've seen but it's something different at least

I often find our 3rd kit to be the best of the bunch. Last season's was a belter so look forward to the beautiful one.-DL- wrote:

A good chance to get onside with your core support and they drop the sky blue sleeves and don't have a sky blue or white away kit.-DL- wrote:The home kit is predominately claret with sky blue trim - as in the picture.
