Recreativo Huelva supporters protest over Hummel ‘Minnie Mouse’ Away Design
Yesterday we brought you pictures of the new kits for Spanish 2nd Division club Recreativo Huelva. Their kits are manufactured by Danish brand Hummel and sponsored by Cajasol. One of the kits unveiled by the club, namely the away kit, did not go down very well with the club’s supporters and followers.
As reported by Metro on the 21st July, the Hummel design of the new away shirt was branded as ‘bizarre’. The shirt attracted widespread criticism on social networking sites like Twitter, as its polka dots on a red background were assimilated to outfit of popular cartoon character Minnie Mouse. One supporter of the club stated that the shirt is “the ugliest thing I’ve seen in years”. A protest against the shirt design is staged on Wednesday evening urging Hummel to come up with something better for Recreativo. Hummel justified the kit design by saying that it only had 10 days to come up with the home and away shirts designs for the club as the contract was awarded to them very late.

Re: the New kits thread
The Adidas shirts are looking very nice. Simple but effective, modern, designs. Hopefully we'll get something like that.

Re: the New kits thread
obviously a fake but was having a look at some new kits on a website and came across this very smart looking old WHU design from last year I presume (presumed by the fact it is designed with "Parker 8" on the back

It looks reasonably similar to this coming seasons home shirt - but I like this one that little bit more - may have something to so with the sponsor!

Re: the New kits thread
Anyone care to send the Recreativo Huelva fans pictures of Man Utd's home kit, any of Chelsea's, or Liverpool's third kit? x

Re: the New kits thread
If we do have Adidas for the 2013/14 season and beyond I don't think they'll do a template shirt for us, I have a feeling they'd do something a bit more unique. When designs are discussed between Adidas and G&S and the rest of the marketing/merchandise people the early to mid 80's kits are without doubt going to get brought up and you can guarantee that there'll be something of a similar style as a result, it wouldn't surprise me if Adidas had already got those old shirts in mind as an influence for the new design they come up with. It would make sense and providing we're in the PL still there could do a huge promotion for it, pics of Brooking,Bonds, Dev etc in the kit, or if it's more like the '86 shirt they could have pics of Frank, Cottee, Martin etc, whatever happens I don't think we'll just get someone elses kit in different colours.

Re: the New kits thread
if it were tn be adidasla 4 next year id love to see the 3 stripes used in 3 steps. For the home top down the sleeves, 2 outer sky blue stripes with a white one in the middle. Away on a sky blue top 3 stripes round the lower chest area, top and bottom claret and the middle one white!

Re: the New kits thread
It's this shirt all day, everyday. This was the first WH kit I owned, If this gets re-issued by Adidas I can pull it on and run around pretending to be Ray Stewart all over again.cockney hammer wrote:this for me
