He must get all the chances now!! Or maybe we can't "afford" to keep him after this success?

Dos Santos + cash for Parker and we will have 2 Mexicans tearing up the championship ! The pair of them seem to have good understanding and partnership..

The goals for those who are interested. Excellent finish for the second. Just like to say i have always believed that he should have had more opportunities in a team that desperately needed a winger last term.

I'd be very dissapointed if Fat Sam sold Barrera. That second goal with the outside of his boot was class!

Nice goals by Barrera. If he's good enough for Mexico, it would be strange if he wouldn't be good enough for West Ham.

He has been really impressive in the Copa America. It's an international tournament though and so his performance are bound to garner interest which is why sadly, I can't see him staying.

Time to cash in on Barrera for me.

We all know it didn't happen for him last season, probably not all his fault, but too much of a risk in our situation to give him another season. Regardless of talent, some South American players just can't settle here.

Optmium time to sell now based on recent performances, Spanish club or back to South America most probable.

BFS would have been watching Barrera's performance in the final, his 2nd goal was very classy. He's had a good tournament throughout, his confidence must be sky high.

The boy's got to be nailed on for the wide right position now or if he leaves us for a Spanish club he could well bring in a higher transfer fee than Cole or Parker !!!

I've always thought Dos Santos was a lively little wide man, maybe we should be going for him to be included in the deal for Parker?

Interesting to watch how he performs against better teams at the Copa America. Why are they at the Copa this year anyway, 2 International tournements seems odd.

Football is oddly organised in Latin America. Just take a look at the national competitions in Brazil and Argentina. Apertura and Clausura , plus the constant changing schedule in Brazil.

The North American teams, and the Caribbean islands compete in their own tournament - just finished - and some of them have been invited to take part in the Copa America; Mexcio, the US, Honduras, Costa Rica and more strangely Japan...and Spain (once).

I remember Etherington getting a lot of stick when playing in the prem, but being outstanding in the First Division when we went down, maybe something like that?

do we have a realistic chance at keeping him? i'd be shocked after this gold cup tbh, there will definitely be no shortage of suitors. absolute joke the complete lack of action he got under the tel aviv toad last year when strikers were getting put out on the wing. its embarrassing we had a player of his ability and let him sit there while we went down in flames. dont think this should be underestimated. what a mug avram was.

Why?

People keep saying this and I don't understand it

How many previous Gold Cup tournaments have people really taken note of before? None... the only reason it is getting any coverage in England at the moment is because of Hernandez. Panama got to the semi's for gawd sake... Guatemala and El Salvador to the quarters

Will managers suddenly pay any more attention to a friendly tournament like this with only 2 competitive teams than any previous years just because it has had a but more coverage in the UK? I certainly hope not

If club want to keep him he will stay. I expect him to be in the starting line up come the first game of the season
