he looked a quality player in the gold cup last year scoring 2 goals in the final, he has the talent but why cant he do it at club level?

When he plays nationally, he's on a bigger pitch with 10 mexicans.

If he seriously refused to play in the championship BFS would surely want to sell him.. Who would still want a player that isn't loyal to helping the club get back into the PL. (if this was the case) Get rid

I don't think we know if he "refused" to play Championship football. After all, he started the season with us, trained, played (in centre midfield, oddly) against Aldershot. It's clear he hasn't settled awfully well and he doesn't speak English still. Perhaps another pre-season and some English lessons could give us the player we see playing for Mexico?!

More likely it would give us the same player that has not impressed over the last two years, one with us and one in Spain. It's time to move him on.

The first forty five minutes against Bolton I thought we had a class player on our hands, crossing, pace, energy, not afraid to shoot then it was all down hill.

Him and Dos Santos have both failed to do anything over but with Faubert gone wouldn't mind seeing him backup for a while.

Seems like we really are just a stepping stone for him. To oblivion.

Can't see us getting anywhere near £3m on this bloke. We paid £4m and he has done absolutely nothing since that day.

Pablo could be up there with some of our all time greats, very under rated, id say probably the best player in the last 10 years in a West Ham shirt. :crest:

TBF i think he is worth it for another season... I was disapointed he was loaned out, but im guessing bfs thought he wasnt up to the brute of the championship.

If anyone can get the best from him it will be sam. I think he could be a real player without Avram calling the shots. Let him do what he does best, run at defenders with pace. Its amazing what happens when managers and footballers play to their strengths. Barrera, Cole, Vaz Te...

Plenty of pace power and trickery there. Nice looking front three in my eyes.

Remember, who would have been happy had we signed Vaz te this time last year? Strange game football!

it will never work... lets just cut our losses

i dnt suppose he has learnt english while he has been in spain... so it will never work... we're all doomed...

but no seriously apart from the financial implications i don't really see the point of even trying with him. He's not interested and we can get someone who will actually do a job. I just hope we can find someone willing to offer some half decent money for the lad... the sooner the better.

Well, we still need another quick wide player with Bog Brush either side of Cole. Might as well give the poor b*stard a go, he can play a bit for sure. Maybe Fatty can give him a couple of cuddles so he feels a bit more loved...

We did see glimpses of talent when we were in the Premier League and definitely in the Gold Cup. I was actually quite looking forward to seeing him in the Championship before he was loaned out.

Given that I can't see us getting much cash for him so our options appear to be to flog him for £1million or less, or to try and increase his value by giving him some minutes on the pitch. I'm not confident about his ability to do it but he may be able to play some kind of role as an impact substitute or do a job on the wing in a 5 man midfield.

Does anyone know how many years we gave him as if he is out of contract next summer then we may be wise to cash in asap.
