Big Sam (he has already earned that) has done more from his holiday than our two previous managers did in their full tenures. Lord knows what will happen when he starts work. It is a strange sensation having a well respected manager again, isn't it.

I know we haven't kicked a ball under Big Sam's reign as yet but it's so nice to have a manager who actuallly knows what he is doing.

I'm filled with confidence for the new season.

Would just like to ask all of the people that less than 3 weeks ago were going to chuck in their season tickets, never support Allardyce, etc etc etc if he got the job. Still feel the same?

He's doing a good job so far - Nolan is a very good signing for us and would never have come here if Allardyce wasn't the manager. Doesn't change a thing though - still don't want the **** anywhere near my club. Does that help?

At the risk of sounding prudish, when are we gonna start calling Fat Sam "big Sam" I worried we might hurt his feelings
