West Ham v Hull - TV Streams

Postby Wembley1966 on Fri Apr 27, 2012 5:44 pm

If you can’t watch it live in any of the countries listed on the previous page, then there’s a choice of broadcast and commentary either from Sky Sports or from the Football League for foreign broadcasts. The foreign ones don’t break for adverts when the players come out!

Subscription Sites:
LiveOnlineFooty.com - Channel 3 (Also have Southampton match)
LiveFootballStreams.tv - (Also have Southampton and Cardiff matches)
FlashSportStreams.tv - VIP2, VIP32, VIP73, Apple 2

Best free streaming site for Sky Sports (many others take their feed from this one):
http://mypremium.tv/ - we’re on Sky Sports 2
or
http://sportz-for-free.org/channel2.html

Lots of streams listed at:
http://www.wiziwig.tv/broadcast.php?matchid=155304
http://www.freefootball.org/upcomingtv.php

I posted details of this before Monday night's match and some of you tried it. This is a new subscription site that seems good especially as liveonlinefooty are not taking any new subscriptions at the moment.

They've got a choice of low, medium and HD quality streams for each match they show but you either need IE9 or Chrome and the latest version of Flash for it to work - I couldn't get it to work with Firefox or IE8.

If you want to try it, they have a 7 day free trial and are showing the Hull match - they're also showing the Southampton and Cardiff matches and all 6 Premier matches on Saturday. You register with an email address - mention KUMB as where you heard about it - and they email a password to you immediately. But you need to be patient - they have an extremely annoying pop up for free trial users that won’t let you do anything for 5 minutes (unless you click the ‘like them’ on Facebook, etc).

I signed up for the free trail couple of days ago, and just got an email saying it's now extended to the end of the season. Not sure if that works for anyone signing up now, but thought I'd mention it anyway :)

Taking a little radio to the game today to keep track of Southampton. Any tips on the best station to get their game?

If you want to watch it - it's on BBC1 or streams listed at:
http://www.wiziwig.tv/broadcast.php?matchid=156175

If you need updates or want to listen whilst watching our match, then theirs is on BBC Five Live
AM 909/693; DAB - BBC Five Live; Freeview channel 705; Sky channel 0105; Virgin Media channel 905 and Freesat channel 705

Online - UK
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/bbc_radio_five_live

If you’re abroad - should work:
http://tunein.com/tuner/?StationId=24943&

And if you use the free TuneIn app on iPhone, Android or BlackBerry, search for BBC Radio 5 live.

They've got HD streams, but I could not get any picture, just audio when I tried on Saturday with Firefox. You either need IE9 or Chrome for it to work.

If you want to try it, they have a 7 day free trial and are showing tonight’s match. If you got patience and IE 9 or Chrome give it a try (it might work with other browser combinations) - it's free for 7 days and then £3.99 until the end of the season (which should cover the play-offs). They had all the Premier matches on last weekend and Bristol City v Barnsley which was the live 3:00pm Championship match.

Wembley, I signed up for the free trial before the Leicester game, first half was perfect HD quality, but the second half was stop-start and ended up a good 10-15 minutes behind what it should have been.

Has that been the case for you at all, or do you reckon it was just a bad connection where I was at the time?

When I first tried it a couple of weeks ago I had problems with the HD stream and could only get normal quality. Leicester was better, but like you had problems in the 2nd half - I was wondering whether it's because we were the only match on and they couldn't handle it. I watched the Champions League matches on Tues/Weds and was much better - no real difference between then and liveonlinefooty.

What you also have to watch it whether your internet connection is starting to get throttled - watching an HD stream for an hour could start to push you over limits so your ISP then slows your connection down. If you are getting problems try checking your broadband speed first - http://www.speedtest.net/ to see you're getting more than 5 Mbps - anything less and you will have to go for a lower quality stream. Also WiFi is susceptible to interference - simple things like someone sitting in between your router and laptop can make a difference - try a cable network connection to your router or moving closer to your router.

Trial and end error going through all the streams on the listing sites - or sign up to http://www.flashsportstreams.tv which has an Apple stream.
