Back in Bad Waltensdorf for a training camp 2-7 July and then a game against Austria Wien. I'm not 100% sure, but I was told this by a friend who supports Austria Wien, and there are a few sites that seem to have the same info... http://www.arf.at/wordpress/?p=49286

Promotion to the premiership is not the only return journey for West Ham this year. Sam Allardyce's team, which had training camps here in 2007 and 2009 are coming back to Steiermark to prepare for the new season. The Hammers which have Robert Green, Carlton Cole and John Carew (sic) under contract, will be in Hotel Falkensteiner in Bad Waltersdorf from 2 to 7 July. After they finish their training camp the English team will play a friendly against Austrian Bundesliga team Austria Wien. 7 July 16.00 Generali Arena.

I don't think so. I think it's just south of Vienna. It does seem early for a pre-season tour. Good memories from last time we were there though!

The stadium is at Fischhofgasse 12 1100 Vienna. The big stadium near the fairground (prater) is to the east I think.

Whats the nightlife like...and whats the score with the Red light district ?

Beeing the biggest city in the east ,apart from Berlin, Leipzig is also the liveliest.
Plenty of pubs/bars/clubs just a stone's throw away from the Radisson Hotel.
As for the redlight district, there's no Reeperbahn thingy but some nice places here an there to keep you and your clients happy.
For further information I'm happy to point you into the right direction...

Do you reckon game vs. Austria Wien will be open to the public? I live a couple of hours from Wien and fancy a little trip.

Ground is right out on the end of the tube. Bit of a mission to get to. You can see the floodlights from my rooftop! Gutted it's on the 7th as I'm moving back to the UK on the 5th. Austria Wien don't get crowds of more the 5k in the regular season and aren't even the best team in Vienna. The A-Liga is a shoddy standard. It's like league one. Should be a decent trip.

Vienna is more expensive than germany. A kebab is 2.50 to 3 euro. Beer more like 3,50 and up unless you know where to go, then it can be found for 3 euros or less. Food is what murders you here though. Everything is so ****ing expensive in supermarkets.

Had a few lively weekends in Vienna...not my favourite place. Always seem to bump into the Russian mafia wierdly

The Marriott is a lovely hotel...and the Hooters has the best women ive seen in one of their establishments.

Salzburg is far better IMHO though..
