BBC renews MOTD deal (WHU..........eventually)

BBC renews Match of the Day deal

The BBC has agreed a new deal to broadcast Premier League highlights until the end of the 2015-16 season.
The current deal had been scheduled to expire at the end of next season but a three-year extension has been signed.
The rights cover the Saturday evening Match of the Day programme, the Sunday morning repeat, MOTD2 on Sunday evenings and other evenings when Premier League fixtures justify a show.
The programmes will be available on the BBC's iPlayer from midnight on Mondays.

Does the iPlayer bit start from the coming season, or the one after?

Looking forward to the 30 second slot at the end with a 10 second analysis for our opposition. Unless of course when were plying Manure or blah blah blah..................

Does Lawro still make those predictions?

Exactly, Football First is where it's at! Match Choice at 10.15pm usually. One of the best bits about being back in the Premiership imo.

I haven't got time to watch Football First unlike the rest of you lot ;) MOTD is the perfect solution, even of we are last on we will get a much longer section than last season, looking forward to it already!

For those of us who don't want to contribute to the Murdoch fortune, MOTD is a welcome alternative.

I politely beg to differ

We probably got more time as a 'big fish' this year on that show in 6 months than we did all season previous under the commentary of Joey Bartons best mates

Will be back to 30 seconds again when we play anyone below the Scousers

I think I will still watch the Football League show. It had become a tradition to go "ok, I am going to bed after the Championship round up......ok really must go to sleep after Div One.....sod it, I want to really see that Macclesfield equaliser"

I know it could be interesting if they would provide some real tactical insight ,but am i the only one that wonders why these pundits are in the studio. Besides repeating what we just saw,and then stating the obvious. "It was a wonderfull goal" or "to score the winner was extremely important". No **** sherlock

If the bbc has to cut costs, those salaries are rather expendable if you ask me
