Loads of you voted for Hants Disabled Cricket in the National Lottery Awards last year. They were down at Taunton today where they were on the wrong end of a comprehensive 9 wicket thumping by Somerset.
The match was filmed by a couple of cameras from Sky for their "Club Life" series - this is something that goes out in the Saturday lunch interval of each test match. Somerset were the actual club featured but they did film some of the Hants lads as well so look out for it during the 3rd Test (7-11 June)
Thanks on behalf of Geoff and the boys again
Did Geoff the Legend get any runs/wickets/catches?
No - unfortunately 1st ball LBW today. A couple of very good stops in the field though.
Shame about the result but hope Geoff and the lads had a great day out starring on TV
I usually watch the cricket all the time so shouldn't miss it, but nearer the time can you start a thread and give us a reminder that it is on.
Boooo!! Should have referred it
If i was a professional cricketer and at the top level i would proper refer EVERY decision against me Even if it was blatant proper proper nailed on blatent i would still refer it
Good news Gnomeslaaaa, like someone said remind us when its on the tellybox please
Making Gnome field at "short leg" was not funny in any way..........
Look forward to seeing Geoff on tele..
I've just been advised that this should now go out on Sky during the lunch interval tomorrow (Friday 21st).
Now usually these inserts go out on a Saturday but since the info came from the Somerset guys (who are the featured side this week) we'll take their word for it.
The boys have had a lousy time with the weather this year. They were thumped by Somerset (as mentioned above) before going on to thrash Dorset (who they bowled out for 5!). The other three matches have fallen foul of the conditions - even when the match day has been relatively dry the presence of wheelchairs has meant no play has been possible.
They've one game left away at Hertfordshire next weekend which means it's most unlikely that they'll repeat last year's feat of making the national semi-finals but them's the breaks!
Thanks for the reminder. I'll keep an eye out
I watched it. They focused on the Somerset team mostly as it was about them but it was really good to watch. Some really determined players there.
