From the Grays Athletic website:

"GRAYS ATHLETIC are looking for a number of children to act as mascots for the pre season friendly against West Ham United on Friday 20th July.

They would like to have 22 children to walk out with the teams, so if your child is a Grays Athletic or West Ham supporter, and they would like to take part, please get in touch.

For a price of £20, each child will receive a t-shirt, have the chance to meet the players from both teams as well as entry to the match.

If you are interested, please contact the Club on graysathleticsponsorship@hotmail.co.uk"

The match will be celebrating the (re)opening of the old Ford Sports Ground at Rush Green (West Ham's new training centre) which Grays are using for a couple of years while their new ground is being built. David Sullivan is due to attend to "cut the ribbon" on the new ground.

Nine mascots have alreadycome forward for the West Ham spaces, so there may still be two left.

Has anyone heard any whispers about who we're playing on August 11th?
I suspect that it'll have to be an away game due to the Olympics, policing etc.

Perhaps one of our tweeters could ask DG if anything planned

Booked my tickets for the Oxford game this morning (and the landlord of the pub).

Off topic is Rob Hall going out on loan to MK Dons again?, I know the Oxford supporters would love to have him back.

For ticket information concerning the Austria Vienna game you can check their page
http://www.fk-austria.at/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They unfortunately only have their site in German. However, you can call the number: +43 (0) 1 688 01 50 ... the probably speak English

They never police that game anyway. When it all kicked off against Napoli, the Police had to be called - there was no presence before or during the game.

Cheers Aut Hammer,
Getting the 7;10 back from Budapest that day. Staying in the Vienna City Hostel. Dampfgasse 8, Vienna, Austria 1100. Does not look to far from ground on google map.
Have a beer or 7

PS Don't do walking, what's the nearest metro/tram/bus to the ground?

British Pub in Vienna with a definate Hammers theme
by Lakeside Hammer on Wed Jun 20, 2012 10:36 pm

Just to let anyone whose in Vienna know that there is a British Pub there called 'The Red Lion' which will definately have a Hammers flavour to it.
How do i know? Because from July 1st i will be taking it over and running it!
And when i found out a few weeks ago that we were playing a friendly against Austria Vienna less than a week later, i knew someone was smiling on me.
Maybe a good meeting place pre and post match?
Happy hour prices for anyone wearing the colours.
My names Barry, Baz to my mates and the pubs address is : Lowengasse 6, 1030 Vienna. It's close to the Danube canal and the amusement area called the Prater.
My number, from the 1st July, is 0043 664 7954852
I look forward to seeing any Hammers there not only around the time of this fixture, but at any time!
Come on you Irons!
Barry.

Shame about that, although IIRC last season didn't have a huge turnout did it mate?

So the Braga game would be instead of the game held at The Boleyn?
