Bobby Moore's 20th Anniversary

This will not be of interest to everyone but I know at least it will appeal to some.......................

24th February 2013 is the 20th anniversary of the passing of Bobby Moore and Jonjo is busy arranging something amazing in his memory.

Jonjo, The Bobby Moore Fund and a team of helpers are recruiting tag teams, one for each professional club in England. Each team will collect the captains armband of their tag teams club and tag the next nearest professional club. This will happen across England until all of the armbands reach Upton Park. All 91 armbands will then be passed to Jonjo who will walk to Wembley to collect the England captains armband for Bobby. He will then walk back to Upton Park, crossing each of the main bridges in London, making his walk 66 miles in 6 days, he is calling it Route 66. On return to Upton Park (23rd Feb 2013) he will tie his scarf to the gates of Upton Park encouraging supporters to do the same. He will then make his way to the centre circle of the pitch (WHUFC v SPURS) to collect the final armband for Bobby from the West Ham captain. All 93 armbands will be framed and auctioned for The Bobby Moore Fund.

The idea is to recruit a tag team for each of the 92 clubs but it is fast turning in to DHL (Direct Hammer Link). Loads of applications and lots of clubs registered tag teams. We are collecting names at the moment, information will be emailed to people in Sept. Packs will be sent out in December x
