Looking forward to this. It's usually a good game against Fulham. They play decent football but we often get lucky. This will be a bigger test than Villa, but the same problem as against Swansea. They won't give the ball away much and they have plenty of quality. Jol has made them even more compact. They have survived the loss of Murphy but perhaps the Dembele/Dempsey situation might unsettle them. I just hope we don't hoof it to Carlton again in glorious isolation.

2-0 to us both scored by Carroll. Henderson produces string of fantastic saves to keep us a clean sheet.

Looking forward to this one, team selection may be a bit of a headache for Allardyce after last nights positive showing, I'd like to see something like this:

--------------------Jussi
Demel---Tomkins---Reid---McCartney
--------------Diame---Noble
--------------------Nolan
Vaz Te----------Maiga-------------Jarvis

Subs: Henderson, O'brien, Collins, Taylor, Diarra, Maynard, Cole

Tomkins in for Collins - Not because of his mistake, think Collins has a injury?

Would like to see Diarra come on for some more playing time later in the match, same with Maynard.

Would choose Maiga over Carlton in the hope that we don't try and go long too often to him or go long too often at all.

Good time for us to play them - no Dempsey or Dembele, who have been their two outstanding players of recent vintage.

I'd go back to the Tomkins & Reid combo if only for the greater understanding - there were more than a couple of ropey offside lines last weekend which is probably down to Collins needing time to gel with the rest of the defence. I'd start with Maiga this week with Cole to come on with 30 mins to go to score his customary goal against Fulham.

-------------------- Jussi --------------------

Demel - Tomkins - Reid - McCartney

--- O'Neill - Diame - Noble - Jarvis ---

-------------------- Nolan -------------------

-------------------- Maiga -------------------

Subs: Maynard, Cole, Henderson, Collins, Vaz Te, Diarra, Taylor

Decent sub options for both attack and defence there - Maynard and Vaz Te if we need a goal, Diarra and Collins if we're up

2-1

Vaz Te, Maiga and Jarvis interchanging during the game

With Dembele and Dempsey out they should be there for the taking. 2-1

It's usually a good game when we meet, so looking forward to this. Should be a good spectacle and be nice to see how the team responds from last week.

Good news for us is that it looks like Dembele is off, so that will help our cause.

Have a sneaky feeling for a 2-1 win, Maiga and Jarvis to get off the mark in the PL.

This is what it's all about confuse the *****!

Confuse, deplete, punish, destroy

In all seriousness this could work very well, from the game yesterday I could see Vaz Te and Maiga will be able to form a good partnership if they spend more playing time together and get to know each others game. And of course Jarvis chucking a good cross or two in would be nice.

love for formation.. specially the front 3

love the fact vaz and maiga can swap places and play in all 3 roles and then jarvis can play either wing

keep on your man then fulham defenders!

This is the most important point with this front 3, keep them moving about all over the place all the time.

DL, the last match between us and Fulham did not end up 3-1 to the visitors. It was in fact a 1-1 scoreline.

----------------Jussi----------------

Demel----Collins---Reid---George

-----------Diarra------Diame----------

Vaz Te------Nolan------Jarvis--

------------------Cole-------------

Thats how i think will line up and it will provide a good balance at home in my opinion.

Have a feeling that Maiga might start in place of Cole for this one. Also think that Tomkins & Reid should be the CB pairing.

I was a bit worried about this fixture, but now their 2 best players Dembele & Dempsey are highly unlikely to be playing we should get 3 points. 2-1 WH

They gave Man U a very good run for their money last weekend without Dempsey, and have plenty of very talented footballers.

I would point out that Fulham, more than any other club, are Carlton Cole's plaything.

He rarely fails to score against them.

Agreed, but I thought Dembele was excellent, and clearly Fulham's best player on the day.

It's a definite plus that he's off but they still look a better team than us even without him.
