I reckon the septics are probably tougher on fitness than us, tbh.

It's over for Andy, in my view. Good job he earned so much off his last contract...

I reckon he is finished too. But I think MLS would be his dream scenario which has a slither of a chance. But I think this about a lot of our players. It never ceases to amaze me how many times people will suggest one of our crap players can still do a job at a lower Prem club or a Championship club. Players like Matt Jarvis for example have just faded into oblivion. Sakho is nearly there. Cresswell would be another I reckon. If there are players we don't want, almost nobody else wants them either regardless of level.

Jarvis especially, the only game he has played for Norwich since 16/17 is a EFL Trophy in that season, then he had a loan spell this spring and is now released.

Joey O'Brien actually played for Shamrock Rovers about 10 minutes from where I live in the Euro cup qualifiers recently - he was withouth a club for a year and a half before signing for them, his boyhood club

Unbelievable really how Jarvis just totally went off the boil almost as soon as he joined us.

Bruce is bound to give Carroll a crack isn't he? Watch him hit 15 goals and end up back in England contention. :D

Shamrock Rovers always make me laugh. What a great Irish name.

It would be like a Welsh side being called Leeks United.

What ever happened to George McCartney? He left us in 2014 and was never heard of again!

As for Carroll he has enough cash to never worry about anything again. If he ever plays again it will be in the lower leagues of America like Joe Cole. No way can he play for a top team again!

Peter Crouch retiring means Andy Carroll is 99.9% nailed on for an offer from Burnley... But i doubt he would entertain that

That article references how much Carroll clearly loves football. That’s enough for me to stop reading. It’s fairly well known that Carroll doesn’t like football that much.

Genuinely wouldn’t be surprised to see him offered a one year deal after impressing at the training ground.

From that Guardian article, on Wellbeck & Sturridge:
waiting for the dog days of mid-August where fans grow restless, anxieties start to rise and the clock strikes West Ham.
Wonderful
