Phil Jones is a perfect fit. Probably a right back really, would arguably excel there for us, but can cover centre back

He is a wonderful athlete and I sense like a lot of good athletes he over relies on being faster and stronger than his winger. To his credit, he got beat for pace by Willian first 5mins at Chelsea then adjusted and had him on lockdown. Adjusted in the second half on ManC too.jacko wrote:I'm not sure I feel the same love for Arthur yet. He fouled so many times in the first half he was lucky not to get sent off. .
Looks a player to me - can't underestimate how difficult it is to come into a new league and play well as a defender.
Other thing to remember is he is two months younger than Byram And has about 40 odd less professional games under his belt

In the NFL draft, people in the know reckon about 1 of 5 drafted players will sign a contract then give up. Go through the motions, take the money and not amount to anything.EastleighHammer16 wrote:AlNassr FC

I'd love to know the percentage of footballers who get a big move (large wage rise) and do similar.

MORRISON PUT UP FOR SALE
Lazio have put playmaker Ravel Morrison up for sale, reports Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 23-year-old former Manchester United and West Ham midfielder was omitted from Lazio’s squad for Saturday’s Serie A clash with Juventus.
"Morrison is officially on market," Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi said. "We are looking for a destination for him, with the agreement of the club.
“We are talking of a big quality player but we are compete in the midfield.”
Re: The 2016 summer transfer thread
That Di Marzio is reporting that the reason Zaza wasn't confirmed when expected, depending who read was either yesterday or Friday was because we asked to make some last minute changes to the terms of the agreement ... He is reported as saying it went from a loan with obligation to buy after 16 appearances to loan with an obligation to buy at end of season... For total of 28 million euros including bonuses..
A couple of sites are suggesting this was because we have our eye on buying someone else and needed to do it that way to make some funds available that was going into Zaza deal for that other player...
There again on other hand it's been said as well that the delay was over reaching an agreement for the agents fees either in terms of how much or who pays it etc
So that might well explain the mistake in releasing Ogbonnas welcoming statement about Zaza on the OS or Golds Twitter pics etc.. Plus the comments from KB and Slav on Friday...

It's 16 games
A certain well known agent and "friend" of the chairman was claiming an agents fee
That was the hold up

Jinxed! Where are we on the RB situation and Valencia to Norwich? What numbers are we expecting in terms of ins and outs before the window shuts? Any and all information gratefully received

Has someone pulled Silkman up yet for the shameful flogging of Collins on SSN last deadline day? Spineless bottlejob of a man

Are you able to offer any information on the Tore deal please. Yesterday you mentioned there was a trigger where we would have to buy him? Cheers

Just ship out Valencia and then I don't care what other business we do.

Jinxed mentioned Valencia to Norwich is close.
If anyone is stupid enough to pay real money for him we should take it.

Arthur is bloody good going forward, but in that first half it was a toss up which of our full-backs was having the worse game.jacko wrote:I'm not sure I feel the same love for Arthur yet. I won't judge a player on three games. That said, I thought the argentinian striker was dreadful.
Defensively poor, but as you say improved.
Has a lovely touch though and can kill a long pass stone dead.
Am starting to like this bloke.
