Yes, and rightly soUp the Junction wrote: We could, you may recall how the previous incumbent was hounded out.
Allardyce was not hounded out because we had a solid defence
He was hounded out because:
a) he played dull, unimaginative hoofball (in the main)
b) he always focused on not losing, rather than winning
c) he was, is and always will be, an arrogant, dis-likable ****

Re: Javier Hernandez Signs
Can I just point out that Hernandez wasn't signed at Real Madrid, yet Morata has been surplus to requirements for them as well, so can we stop acting like it's some kind of affront to the guy's skill? We all know what RM are like, acting otherwise is a bit cheeky.
In saying that, now that Allardyce has been brought up, might I then be able to offer my own strawman argument and query whether Big Sam might be getting a bit more out of the team than Slav is at present?

This player has the one of the best goals per minute ratio in the EPL and is the all time scorer for a national team that is better than Englandbristolhammerfc wrote: The player has been on the bench more times than on the pitch in English and Spanish football.
If you would like to dispute any of that feel free?

1 in 2 striker so far, having had barely any chances. Now if we could just get our first 11 to play together for the first time in about 5 years we might push on.....

Loved his spirit and fight yesterday, good movement and goal too. Just can't help but feel we're not on the same level as him, come next year he'll be off

In order for Hernandez to succeed chances will need creating , so far both Lanzini and Arnautovic have been missing leaving Antonio as our only outlet - now Arnautovic is back Antonio is missing .
Bilic is forced to play a back 5 because we lack those creative type players - we still haven't replaced Payet and we didn't replace Feghouli , we didn't replace Nordtveit , we didn't replace Ashley Fletcher , we didn't replace Jonathan Calleri , [ I'm going to assume we replaced Enner Valencia with Hernandez ] .

Wants to leave for Valencia/Sevilla in order to be closer to his lady according to Don Balon.
Re: Javier Hernandez Signs
I have no idea what “Don Balon” is like as a source, hopefully it’s the Mexican Mirror.

It's Spanish. It no longer exists as a magazine but purely online.Patito wrote:I have no idea what “Don Balon” is like as a source, hopefully it’s the Mexican Mirror.
Much like The Ring magazine in Boxing it used to give it's own awards and produced annaul lists of the World's top 100 young prospects.
They might be worth listening to.
And judging by his boat race when he got hooked in the last game you could be forgiven for thinking he's far from happy.

Re: Javier Hernandez Signs
Its staggering that a club like us has one of the most natural finishers in the league yet refuses to put him in the box
What only adds to the hilarity of the situation is that we couldn't move for wingers last season
Bilic and Sullivan have real issues with squad balance
