I think they key is providing enough opportunities for Hernandez and Ayew in the box.
Give them six chances between them and they will score two, which should be enough for the win.
I think Arnautovic has got to start, but should be subbed early in the second half if he is not performing.
Antonio is a loss but others including any of our four full backs, who play a part, should be trying to get to the byline for crosses/cut backs/winning corners.
Fonte, Reid, Ogbonna, Kouyate all win headers and Ayew and Hernandez have proved they can occupy the right positions to sniff out the goals.

Down in London for meetings today and one got cancelled, so in my spare time I went down to see the new gaff for the first time. End result when I got back to Worcester this evening was picking up a ticket in the BML on the ticket exchange for what will be my first home game in nearly 15(?) years.

Can't wait :scarfer:

Think this might make me a day tripper - shall I try the popcorn?

I would like to see (but won't)

Hart

Zabaleta Reid Ogbonna Masuaku

Kouyate Obiang

Lanzini

Antonio Hernandez Arnautovic

Noble in for Lanzini if still injured in a more 4-3-3. Holland for Antonio if injured.

Carroll/Ayew if we are chasing in the last 20mins. :scarfer:

If Antonio was fit I'd only swap Arnautovic for Ayew from the last game, however he's not so then Ayew replaces Antonio instead. Same formation - worked well until the system was changed when Carroll came on.

Hoping for another game like the Huddersfield one - we have to pick up 3 points against teams like Swansea if we're going to get to 40. Won't be easy though, we're not excactly frightening going forward and they're very solid defensively

It's my first game at the new stadium and I'm really excited. I haven't been to a home game in years!

Excluding their game against us, Newcastle have only scored 3 goals in 5 games. The fact that Swansea aren't scoring bucket fulls doesn't mean they won't fill their boots if we play 4 at the back.

I really want to see a front 2 of Hernandez and Sakho, the guy is a tool but he's still a good player and has the better movement than carrol.

Sounds like Obiang fit to return. Back to the drawing board with the team selections.

Big Andy first name on the team sheet for me against this lot. Always does well against them.

I agree. I was seriously pissed off that he replaced Antonio instead of Sakho on Saturday but against these if he's first he's the first name on the team sheet. :scarfer:

Noble keeps his place he played well last game, Kouyate on bench, Sakho instead of Arnie only one moody **** per selection.

Hernandez and Sakho to click together.

Irons to win 3-0 :scarfer:

Arnie has looked far more dangerous than Ayew ever has!! I don't see his use, apart from scoring the odd tap in.

Never understood this as a criticism of any player...If he's scoring tap ins, he's scoring goals. Ayew scores tap ins because he knows where to be in the box.

Me neither, and in Ayew's case he does a bit more than that.

Welkumb.

Our strongest starting XI (possibly only Fonte for Ogbonna I would change) when everyone is fit. I'm just not sure we currently have the right tactics / coaching to play that formation.

Always worth giving a player a run-out against their old club. Would happily take 1-0 coming from an Ayew tap-in.
