I agree with your points. The issue I have is, for the past 18 months a bunch of players have happily taken 50-100k a week without giving a toss. I just want to see them realise that it's partly their fault too. I have been aware since we first went down under their ownership what a shower they are. Just hoping that the players can for once put a shift in and give us a win.
The players didn't sell our home, sell our history off on the cheap, lie to the fans, under invest, employ a **** manager and extort money from the club.
The shame is that it seems the catalyst for the majority of supporters waking up has been poor performances on the pitch.

The bookies can't decide, which seems absurd to me. Can't see us winning this, the atmosphere will be terrible (if not loud) from the start and quickly turn. Think a draw is the best we can really hope for.
What's very handy for once is the changed kick off time, whatever goes on at the stadium will get absolutely loads of coverage.

Fast start. It's crucial. I can't remember the last time we properly flew out of the blocks and if ever we needed to, this game's it, for several reasons.

Equally drop an early goal and it will turn toxic almost immediately.WorcesterWHU wrote:Fast start. It's crucial. I can't remember the last time we properly flew out of the blocks and if ever we needed to, this game's it, for several reasons.
Games under the lights always play out a little differently and if we get out of the blocks and go at them it could definitely be the opposite.
Given current form I know what I would bet on...

Depressing team news, it seems Hernandez, Collins and Antonio are still unfit, but hopefully Ayew can play. I can't see us winning, please prove me wrong.

like most no idea what will happen, at least England are doing well in the cricket !
we need to get some legs into the team to try and cope with vardy, gray, mahrez and co.

ayew sakho

If we play like we have been can see it being 0-3
Hopefully 1-0 hammers sakho

Forgot we were playing today, and frankly, ignorance was bliss.
Given our current situation, I'm finding it almost impossible to be optimistic.

LOSE TONIGHT AND WE ARE DOWN . WE WONT GET A WIN UNTIL THE NEW YEAR AND WILL BE ROCK BOTTOM.
we have never survived in the premier league with so few points at this stage.
we have changed the manager for the bounce but I cant see it happening. moyes will tighten us up a bit but we need wins not the odd draw.
I expect us to go down
trouble is before we had our ground and at least we were happy there even if team was poor.
now we have the bowl which we all hate

the closer we get to this game the more I realize how important it is going to be who gets the first goal.
if we get it, hopefully we'll push on.
if they get it, I dread to think

2 up top please in ayew and sakho (assuming Hernandez is out). Press the mother f****** from the front and please don't stand off. If we get beat we will have done so playing the right way and most can live with that.
Re: West Ham United v Leicester City: Match Thread
I'm more nervous about tonight than I was against Blackpool in the Playoff final. It's an awful thing to think this early on the season that we could be destined for the Championship. How on earth did we get here after our last season at the Boleyn. (Actually don't answer that last bit)

Re: West Ham United v Leicester City: Match Thread
I reckon the first team to score in this wins. If it's them and it's early we're in for a toxic evening with Sky desperately silencing the mics. If it's us then the real test will be if Moyes sets us up to chase more or to get 10 behind the ball.
I can't remember a game where a blokes future is defined more than this one, and however well Leicester have been doing there are no excuses here. It's not Citeh or Man U.

Re: West Ham United v Leicester City: Match Thread
The game itself has almost become secondary to everything else going on.
As much as I try, I just cannot see us getting a positive result.
Toxic board, toxic atmosphere, toxic performance.

Early goal from them and it will be a night of protests. We absolutely have to get an early goal if we are to get anything out of this game.
Re: West Ham United v Leicester City: Match Thread
0-2 Leicester.
More of the same as last Sunday. Carroll to start and be largly ineffective, we’ll get bossed in the midfield as due to a lack of a decent DM in our team, Mahrez and Vardy to carve us open and leave our agening defence for dust.
At least the cricket’s on later.

We have only scored 5 first half Premier League goals at the London Stadium (Watford x 2, Burnley, Leicester, Swansea). A damning stat which MUST improve tonight if we are to get anything I think.
