Can we make sure that there is a lot of snow on the pitch.

Pellers will never do that, he's a front foot man, always has been, always will be.hammerleroy wrote:Look I know Pelly doesn't do three CBs but my opinion for what it's worth is Zab, Diop and Ogbonna with Fredericks and Arthur as wing backs. This will help stop them targeting Zabs lack of pace and hopefully the wing backs can get forward. With me so far? Of course I'm on a damage limitation exercise here so pack the MF with Snoddy, Rice, Nobes or Obiang and Anderson and play Chicha or Antonio up front. No doubt two or three kids will be on the bench but that lineup would hopefully keep the score respectable! But of course as I said Pelly will play a back four and we'll be taken apart. But there you go!

I bet if they win, they will feed off the hate and resentment shown by the rest of the football world, towards them, it will make the irritating c**** even more intolerable, than they already are.
If they f*** it up from here though, and throw it all away... they will cry a lot, and bemoan the haters.
I want scouse tears, served in a golden goblet.

I predict our biggest defeat to date at the London Stadium, a more than half empty stadium by 60mins and a lot of anger towards the board.
So many of the die hard fans who made the effort to get to Wolves came back totally dejected. It is slowly wearing everyone down.
A thumping at home on live TV just days after another transfer window passes with a complete lack of ambition may just be a Burnley style tipping point.

If we are expecting it, then at least we won't be disappointed when it happens.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Liverpool: Match thread
I was my least confident for some time before the Wolves game... the previous away performances, the performances against teams in similar positions to us, the difficulty of playing away midweek, Wolves being on a hot run...
I don't have AS MUCH of a bad feeling prior to this game. Our last home game was Arsenal wasn't it? Home form isn't that bad, results against the top teams overall haven't been too bad, Liverpool have just come off a drab performance when they could have really pulled away in the title race...
Just wouldn't surprise me if we do turn up and play well at last. Will still obviously be tough. Each season recently we've had a cracking home performance v a top team (usually spuds) and Monday Night on TV, I'm hopeful something might happen here.

Salah would definitely fall over a loose chicken, to win a penalty.OFT wrote:If Arthur gets anywhere near to Salah in the box it'll be a penalty whether he actually fowls him or not.

And you just know what will happen on Monday night after such a high profile moan from Klopp about not getting a pen in mid week...Samba wrote: Salah would definitely fall over a loose chicken, to win a penalty.
A spirited first half from us totally undone by a soft pen that opens the floodgates.

Can I just say that we sometimes kind of raise our game against the top four but also can cave in as easily. We could be more focused against this lot but they may be on a rebound from Leicester.....
....so I haven't a clue really.

Every club that has to play Liverpool between now and May has a public duty to stop them winning the title. It should be enshrined into law.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Liverpool: Match thread
I was thinking this the following day after the Wolves game. Would not be surprised to see another protest soon, especially after 2 very poor performances on the trot added to the embarrassing Arnautovich fiasco. You sort of get the feeling fans morale is beginning to slide towards rock bottom yet again.sutts07 wrote:I predict our biggest defeat to date at the London Stadium, a more than half empty stadium by 60mins and a lot of anger towards the board.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Liverpool: Match thread
season is over and our wasters will go through the motions no doubt. a poor run of results, out of the cup and a non existant transfer window give us fans nothing to get excited about.
I fear the worst and a 0-6 drubbing.
we have to play so many bad players again as there are no replacements
fab
zab diop ogbonna cresswell
antonio Snodgrass noble rice Anderson
Hernandez
subs adrian fredericks masuaka diagana nasri carroll silva
not much hope glad I am not going

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Liverpool: Match thread
It could be a cricket score if we play as badly as the last two games. The last time I expected a heavy defeat was against Arsenal, so you never know.
I just wish we didn't have to wait until Monday.
