Europa League 2021/22

Post by My_Sobriquet » Sun May 23, 2021 7:28 pm

Sorry to be the logistics guy on an evening where we are mostly drinking wine and celebrating but I’m really excited about our European adventure and don’t want to miss out.

Does anyone know how the tickets work for away ties? Is anyone planning on travelling out as a group?

I would love a night at the Allianz!

A night at the Allianz ??

You do realise we are in the competition for teams who come 5th and 6th... not teams who win titles every season.

Tickets will no doubt be done the same as all other cup games, bond holders, away season ticket holders and priority points all counting.

I’d be amazed if there isn’t a substantial following to at least one of the three away games in the group stage. Obviously all depends on who we draw.

Tickets or not I’m going wherever it is we end up.

I’m 52 this year and it doesn’t come round often.

Watch out Europe the east end variant has been let loose and we are coming for you

Draw is 27th Aug and we won’t have any indication of what pot we are in until closer to that time.

There will be four pots of seeded teams based on each clubs coefficient ranking. Ours is very low so we could be in pot three, making it a tough draw.

That’s not a bad thing in my eyes that means two decent European clubs in our league. Gotta enjoy it when we can

We presumably won't be playing Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, but I believe we could still play Juventus at the Allianz Stadium or Rapid Vienna at the Allianz Stadion???

I was referring to Juve who I believe there’s a good chance of being in the Europa and with our/their coefficient us drawing them.

Just so I’m clear - the thing Spurs are in. If they win that do they come into our thing or do they just qualify for the thing we are in next season?

Yes tough draw probably means the bigger European clubs. As others have said, bring it on.

Rather go out to a club with history than AZ Astra.

The only way we can play Tottenham in Europe next season is if we finish 3rd in our group and drop down to the Conference. 8-)

I’ve got next to no chance of getting a ticket but will be doing a trip somewhere we are playing!

Just hope I am vaccinated in time.

Juve now in the CL. The 12 clubs going direct into the group stage are
  • Lyon
  • Napoli
  • Bayer Leverkusen
  • Lazio
  • Braga
  • Eintracht Frankfurt
  • Leicester City
  • Lokomotiv Moscow
  • Marseille
  • West Ham United
  • Real Sociedad
  • Real Betis
The other 20 places will be filled with playoff winners and Champions League playoff losers

Likewise, no chance of a ticket unless being almost ever present between 1982 - 86 counts for anything 😂
Would love to make it to an away leg though
