You gotta hand it to him for this - written before the Sunderland game near the end of the 2010-11 season [picked up from a few posts back on this thread]

'Still, they'll go down, sort the wage bill out, sell a few on for a big profit, and then get themselves a manager who has been there and done it to get them out of a very difficult division'

We have a game at work where as well as predicting the weekend scores, we also predict lawro's predictions for bonus points.

Simple rules inlcude:
-any top 4 team at home against non top 4 team: 3-0
-top 4 team playing each other: 1-1
-any derby game: 1-1

Tried to make some notes about potential transfer targets during this game, but all I've done is scrawl "Lawro is a ****" 246 times. ****.

This email made me laugh on the minute by minute commentary:
"Mark Lawrenson's voice is the sound of a man disappointed with his lot in life," says John Delaney. "It is the sound of the stranger who sidles up to you in the pub asking if you want to play a game of pool and then returns ten minutes after you decline to ask for one pound twenty towards a pint of mild. It is the sound of the dull background internal narrative of every human being... the sound of what we may become."

"England need to keep attacking now, go and get a second goal. They cannot sit on this lead"

30 seconds later....

"England need to stop forcing the issue, there really is no need"
