The Sweden game (I think) also had the option for Chris Moyles commentary.

In fairness, its a valid point. A bloke deemed not good enough for a club that played in the same league as Peterbrough last season scores the penalty to take one of the great football nations through against another in a major International tournament.

Where on earth does anyone draw the conclusion that Diamanti "wasn't good enough" for West Ham? He asked for a transfer, and was sold. Simple as that? Scott Parker a West Ham reject as well?

According to his column in the Mail at the time he took the England post, he confirmed that he would continue his punditry with Sky. As a viewer I'm pleased about this as he is the best in the media in that role by a mile IMO.

Fot what I believe to be the first time in my life I sort of agreed with something that stupid Scouse twat said on TV tonight, which was basically, while the hyped up Premership is running as it is, England cannot have a world class international side as well. I feel sick now, I'm going for a lay down till the feeling passes! TID

In fairness, he probably didn't realise that idea for himself. It's been a bandied about opinion for ages. If you speak so much bull****, eventually he will repeat something that he heard that makes sense. Still a twat.

oh god, i forgot we'd have to put up with this **** again. Mr i think i'm so funny, state the bloody obvious, say liverpool will win every match and west ham will lose every match. He irritates me more than garth crooks and neil warnock put together. Actually, maybe not.

Lawro wrote: It looks a tall order for any of the newly promoted teams to stay up but West Ham strike me as in the best shape, if only because they have Sam Allardyce in charge.
His top-flight nous means they will win the really important games that they need to stay up.
I am going for a West Ham win here, for starters, although in the long-term Aston Villa will be fine too. A big reason for that optimism is that Darren Bent is back from injury, which is a massive boost for them because that means goals.
Judging from what Norwich achieved under Paul Lambert, Villa will do a lot better than they did last season and morale among fans will be much higher from the start than under Alex McLeish.
Prediction: 2-1
