I love the bloke but we'd be more of a circus than Newcastle if PDC came back as manager.
Let's go with our heads, not our hearts.
However, Billic would be awesome one day and has the European experience that i feel Curbs lacks....not that i'd want Curbs out.

Re: I dream of becoming West Ham boss, says Di Canio - POLL
Think he has the potential to become a good manager, especially for us. His passionate, his west ham and he would instantly command the respect of the players while not suffering any fools lightly. Think he could have a simialr impact at west ham that shearer would have at newcastle. A lot of you are saying you wouldn't have him but in three yearst ime when his got a bit of experience and his coaching badges and curbs is ready to leave i'm sure if he was appointed every single one of you would be delighted with the appointment.
If anyone needs any further proof of his love for the club read the EX hammers book where he says that when we were relegated he wanted to stay for less money then what he was already on to help us get back up. He rejected several offers in Italy and in England while waiting to see if West Hamm would change their mind and offer him a new contract but with roader in charge that was never going to happen

I just can't see him as a manager, it's kind of like Gazza. Both have too complex temperaments, are too sensitive and would take every little piece for criticism to heart and wouldn't be able to handle the pressure. Mind you, there's quite a pressing argument for a foreign manager.. I'd get him in as under-16 manager or something, see if his temperament has improved and if he has the right effect on the players, and then consider it.PrinceH wrote:I loved his legs, loved his goals, but hate his mind... so no thanks!
Having a fascist as a team manager goes beyond most nightmares. Besides his temperament wouldn't do it either.

Would love it. I think Bilic would be better, but I'd still be happy if Di Canio managed the club one day.

So it's true what they say about you then. :lol:RM9 wrote:Date 01/07/2008
Breaking news!
West Ham announce new managerial team of Slaven Billic and his assistant Paolo di Canio. The spokesman for the new clubs new owners, Kia Joorabchian also announced his intentions of bringing back the cult hero Argentinian Carlos Tevez.
I'd be ****ing all summer :raver:
PdC has done nothing whatever to suggest he would be a good manager (my thoughts are he'd be awful), Slav looks a better bet but the jury is still very much out.
We currently have a very good manager - he needs to be given the chance over the next 3 years to show whether he can improve us or not.

Maybe it's just me, but wouldn't it be better until he has at least completed his coaching course without storming off in a huff before we start discussing his suitability to be manager of West Ham. At this moment in time it's a complete non starter!
Re: I dream of becoming West Ham boss, says Di Canio - POLL
No way it will happen but I'd love to see Di Canio in charge and a manager who shows real passion.
Not sure he could cope with being manager. Wouldn't he want to bring himself on to take all the corners, free kicks & penalites.

Is there a 'F*CK NO' as an option? because that would be my vote.

Inclined to agree - succeeded in 2 jobs out of 2. Forgive and forget. He might be a c@@t - but he's a winning c@@t! I'd have him as a future West Ham managerTross wrote:This will no doubt put a cat amongst the pigeons, but if after five years of great success at this club Curbs decides to move upstairs, and the board wish to stay with tradition........Paul Ince should be quite an acomplished manager by that point, as will Slaven Bilic.
As much a he had delightful skill, Paulo was a maniac whilst here, and I see very little has changed based on his behaviour post leaving us.
Sorry, for me, in the current climate, its a flat No.

You managed to slip that one in under the radar, Tross. Everyone is so busy ****ing over PDC, they forgot their knee-jerk "Judas".Tross wrote:This will no doubt put a cat amongst the pigeons, but if after five years of great success at this club Curbs decides to move upstairs, and the board wish to stay with tradition........Paul Ince should be quite an acomplished manager by that point, as will Slaven Bilic.

FWIW, I agree, not beyond the realm of possibility.
Ah, I see "bubbles 1966" beat me to it.

Is everyone wanting Di Canio back as manager about 14 years old ?
For gods sake get a grip. Bilic would be 10 times better and I don't want him either

Well PdC doesn't have the experience or the qualifications but never say never. I'm just touched that an Italian player of his calibre has such strong feelings for our club (even if I do have grave misgivings about his political beliefs). Soppy old sod aren't I?
