(the exciting world of) audio jacks

Postby Kentammer on Sat Jun 16, 2012 2:24 pm

I'm doing a presentation on Monday, and have disgruntled the IT people by using a mac / keynote, as opposed to their desired PC / PowerPoint combo.

Amoung other things, I've been told I need to bring a '3.3mm jack to 5.25mm jack' for audio.

Which would be fine, except I can't find any reference to this bit of kit, well, anywhere. Are the IT guys - who have been, questionable, shall we say, in the past, talking b*llocks? :eh:

I think they've got their sizes mixed up. The common sizes are 3.5mm and 1/4 inch (6.36mm). Depending on which way round they want to convert, you'll need either one of these or one of these.
