There is a hell of a lot English football can learn from German including the treatment of its fans, Free travel to game, cheap tickets and cheap season tickets £90 for Bayen, safe standing
13 years ago we beat Germany 5-1. They reevaluated their team and now WC winners. We still bang on about that game.
But our FA will carry on trying to copy Spain and Barcelona
I am glad Germany won they were the best team at this world cup

Honestly have nothing against them, apart from that cheating **** Muller and also Podolski because I don't like his gimp face and I wanna put my fist straight through it.

Re: The Final: Germany v Argentina
Imo it's irrelevant now, only tbe collapse of the PL would help the national team. PL team's are too rich, even we can easily afford to buy a foreigner instead of trying to develop a youngster and even at academy level our teams will look for a quick, powerful youngster to develop as those are the key attributes needed for our league and those attributes don't carry over very well to International football usually.Prob wrote:There is a hell of a lot English football can learn from German including the treatment of its fans, Free travel to game, cheap tickets and cheap season tickets £90 for Bayen, safe standing

Well done Germany thoroughly deserved Messi looked suitably embarrassed about winning that award

That is probably the last time we will see Alan Hanson as a pundit. Nice way to retire at a world cup final.

I can think of a lot worse. I'll miss him funnily enough. He was always the living embodiment of Ferguson's hatred of Liverpool.D C wrote: About a decade too late imo. Miserable old twat.

Happy with that,
Any English/British person supporting Argentina needs to have a word with themselves.
The best team humiliated the hosts, won the final and made history in South America.

Re: The Final: Germany v Argentina
Germany manage to have a very strong national league and team. Last season it was truly a one team league but season before that have been open. It shows a league can work with a national team. Most Germany clubs though are owned by the fans unlike the premiership where you have some rich boy at the top only caring about winning. As you say us fighting for anything else including staying in the league will sign quick fixes on the cheap.D C wrote: Imo it's irrelevant now, only tbe collapse of the PL would help the national team. 18 out of the 24 man German squad played at least 1 season in a B team. A young English player has one or two decent games and he is world class in everyone eyes and United, Chelsea, City or Arsenal end up paying massive money for him and let him rot on the bench for a few season where he fails to live up to it and shipped off to some championship team. Shaw will be the next one, Zaha was the one before that.
Euro 96 and world cup 98 are the first big footballing events I can remember yeah I have never seen England be that good. Still far to young to remember alot of 96.
But it is just not on the pitch that we can learn. German football fans are treated so much better as well we are about to move to the OS and rumours are our cheapest Season ticket will be £400. The cheapest season ticket at Bayern one of the best clubs in the world £90.
