I would say so, unfortunately I don't think he would ever go for it.prophet:marginal wrote:Straight question for our Irish followers:

Absolutely incredible game. What a performance, one of the best I’ve seen Ireland or West Ham. I thought James McCarthy was absolutely superb. Taking four points off the world champions is truly astounding considering the pool of players we have. Winner takes all game on Sunday now against Poland.

Given the pace of international football is slower than in the prem, Noble probably would excel in their side.

Re: Randolph coming on for the Irish
I loved watching the match last night and my family in Cork will be happy with that.
I loved the grit and determination, i was nervous watching it for them. It reminded me of so many West Ham games over the year where you get yourself in front and have to defend and fight for that 1-0. Great stuff!!

That James McCarthy gets better and better each time i watch him play
Re: Randolph coming on for the Irish
Agreed. He's developing into a serious player, Everton will do well to keep hold of him.The Gibbins wrote:That James McCarthy gets better and better each time i watch him play

Yeah. 2-2 draw or higher gets Ireland through.Whufc06 wrote:Am I right in saying that a 0-0 or 1-1 draw sees Poland through?

Re: Randolph coming on for the Irish
It goes on head to head results. If it goes to 2:2 or more - then Ireland go through!!!!Whufc06 wrote:Am I right in saying that a 0-0 or 1-1 draw sees Poland through?
If Ireland beat the Poles AND Georgia beat the Germans in Germany - Ireland go thru as group winners!
If POL v IRL is a draw and AND Georgia beat the Germans in Germany Germany go into the 3rd place Playoffs (or maybe they will be best 3rd placed and qualify automatically) as both IRL and POL have taken 4 points each against the Germans.
Hey........West Ham have done well on the road....so maybe!!!!

Stunning performance.
A statistic I read earlier.
2 of the Germans DIDN'T have world cup winners medals.
3 of the Irish HAVEN'T started for their league team this season yet.
And we beat them.
Very proud today.

Re: Randolph coming on for the Irish
randolph's kicking and distribution is markedly better than Adrian's- the liverpool game in particular, he was able to pinpoint sakho with kicks deeper and wider into the dippers half, penning them in every time.
Im pleased for him because he had a few doubters, me included, early on

Re: Randolph coming on for the Irish
This is a great atmosphere in Poland and a mad 3 minutes.
Poland 1 up.
Dubious pen to Ireland less than a minute later.
1-1.
Goal for Poland ruled offside.
Randolph's in for a belter here
