I got this, touts for me
Dear Mr.
Due to the high demand for tickets for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany (TM), the ticket applications correctly processed and accepted had to be entered into a draw. Unfortunately, you have not been allocated any tickets for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany (TM).
You may of course reapply for tickets in one of the subsequent sales phases.
Kind regards,
Your 2006 FIFA World Cup (TM) Ticketing Center

Trying to work out whether there are any tickets left for sale in the fourth sales phase.
http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/060201/1/5z3d.html
One thing is for sure, there were 3,070,000 tickets.
Then they say they have sold 2,600,000, leaving 470,000 to go.
Then it says the International Football Family gets 191,000 and 276,000 were for the German Football Family. So thats 465,000 tickets, which means there are only 5,000 left.
It also says 347,000 were allocated for hospitality of which 170,000 have been sold, meaning that 177,000 are still available to be sold.
So by my sums FIFA have oversold by 172,000 tickets and there will be no more tickets available.
Can someone check my maths?

The BBC and ITV have announced which games they are showing. The first England game is on BBC1 while the other 2 group games are on ITV1.

But the attendances at the 2002 world cup were decidedly low for some of the games. I doubt if it will be the same this time around, what with it being in Europe.BML156 wrote:I think the tickets thing is a scare tactic to stop thousands of fans travelling over
ticketless. I went to Japan and Portugal without tickets and got them easy, at a price of course. In Portugal our tickets were not checked at all as they just wanted to get people through the turnstiles. We even met one guy who used his ticket stub from the previous group game to get in the ground and it worked!!!!
However if your travelling without tickets and you get one and I dont Ill hunt you down

There wont be any for the England games...and any others will be so easy to get hold of, you might as well just tout it and pay face or even less. 1/4 finals in Portugal were going for peanuts apart from our game.Frankie Mac wrote:Trying to work out whether there are any tickets left for sale in the fourth sales phase.

Cheers Romford. Im not that bothered by England games as it happens, just want to get tickets for some decent group games (maybe Italy or Brazil if lucky). Not bought tickets from touts (outside England) before, so do you reckon best plan is to get down town the night before a game? Or go to the stadium on match day?Romford wrote: There wont be any for the England games...and any others will be so easy to get hold of, you might as well just tout it and pay face or even less. 1/4 finals in Portugal were going for peanuts apart from our game.
