Hammers flags at World Cup

Post by Whitters »

Sorry if already done, but a mate of mine at the England game had his Hammers flag confiscated at the game as it contained a 'facist symbol', along with loads of other Hammers flags with our symbol on it.

After the game an embarrassed FIFA official tried to find them, but after an hour or so my mate had to leave it behind as he had to return to England

There was a West Ham flag behind Paraguay's goal in the first half last night. A St.George's. Do they object to the crossed hammers in some way? Interesting.

it wouldnt suprise me if it was, the amount of hate we get from the media etc,

like today i was watching a WC program and they was talking about shaka and the presenter said what team does he play for? and some prick next to him said,
"West Ham unfortunately, if they ever play him"
how can he say that beings he played near on the whole season ande the FA cup final.

I saw that about 6 years ago, when I was searching on the net for a WHU site, and found KUMB. Hammerskins are American - based and have nothing to do with West Ham Utd footy club (thank f***). Sounds like someone in Germany has been over-zealous.

In Europe a crossed hammers symbol signifies a mining town or village. Can't see how they could mistake it for a swastika, thick twats.

F*cking Kraut bastards. I am in Taiwan and my hotel is full of the c*nts. I just can't escape from them. I saw some sort of hammers flag all year at Borussia Dortmund matches. I could never get a clear view to read what it said in German.

I saw that flag only very briefly and I actualy thought it was a West Brom flag - stupid as it may seem to us I can understand the Germans thinking that from a distance the two crossed hammers could be mistaken for a swastika..

That could have been my mates flag - it was there at the start (I saw it too), but it was later confiscated.
