Practicing new tactic for corners? Carroll on ginge's shoulders - unstoppable [wink]

Plenty of footballers let their hair down in close season...work hard play hard - as long as the first bit is still done then don't see a problem

The tabloids focus on big name player for middle sized club is getting a little boring

Cheers CH - top job as ever mate, your updates are one of the best bits of my morning.

Money really is tight at some clubs.

The books are having to be balanced as the financial fair play rules kick in and it is leading to clubs searching what could be classified as the 'bargain bucket` for new players.

One such player in the 'bargain bucket` is Carlton Cole.

Released by West Ham United, at the end of the season, Cole is a free agent and is attracting attention from Stoke City with the new incumbent of the managers seat, Mark Hughes, looking to boost his squad but without spending big.

Will Cole end up in the Potteries?

Stoke don't deserve a man of Carlton's calibre.

Greavesie's wrong about one thing. Man City weren't champions of England when we beat them 5-1 on his debut. Leeds Utd were. Just saying like.

Hammers Shelvey Interest?

Our associates over at the Daily Mail, are reporting that West Ham United are amongst a trio of clubs looking to bring Jonjo Shelvey to Upton Park.

Shelvey, still only 21 years of age, started his career with Carlton Athletic before moving to Liverpool. But it seems that he is now surplus to requirements and West Ham are mentioned, along with Norwich and Swansea, as possible destinations.

Is it a move you`d welcome or is it a move we should swerve away from?

Andy Carroll might be an uncomplicated human being [ as am I ] but he ain't no uncomplicated footballer .
Do you remember his goal away to Manchester City when we lost 2-1 ? Not one of his best , but the way he brought the ball down with 2 Man City defenders around him and then managed to get a shot off for a goal really impressed me by his sheer power and presence . The opposition just couldn't do a thing , couldn't get near him , as I said , very impressive , and that's why he's worth £15m and that's why he deserves to be in the England squad because sometimes not even the best players money can buy cannot touch Andy Carroll . £15m was a steal , an absolute steal , it's not Andy's fault if Liverpool didn't know how to play to his strengths .
Our best signing for years .
Thanks , Daves , Karen and Sam , thank you very much and well done to you all !!

On Andy: He's 24, loaded and in Vegas, give the lad a break. ****ing rags writing **** as usual. He's on holiday for christ's sake.

On Shelvey: Hammers fan, if it's true we want him then there's no chance he'd choose Norwich or Swansea above us. I'd welcome the signing.

On Carlton: Don't go to Stoke please Carlton, please, they don't deserve you.
