Re: thursday's news gossip 8 january includes the irons
Many thanks CH
Poyet to Watford on loan, eh? Makes sense I suppose given that we won't be losing Alex Song to ACON. How about Gabriele Angella coming back the other way?
I must admit I don't like all this bullying of Senegal. Suing them if Sakho or Kouyate get injured FFS?. Fair enough suing if our players' injuries are exacerbated by medical incompetence, but injuries happen in football matches. It is my firm belief that no club should be able to interfere with any player's right to play for his country even though they are paying his wages. Top players play for their countries and if you are fortunate enough to be able to afford to buy top players you should accept that the downside is they will play internationals and possibly pick up injuries. It's the same for all clubs and has the benefit of impacting far less on small clubs who can't afford the big players and so doing a little to level the playing field ... never a bad thing imo.
I really don't see the point in young Sullivan's apology. What does it mean exactly? Yes Kev I do think you're s hit but I shouldn't have said it? Well that's so much better isn't it? Unless you can claim that you didn't mean what you said - and I think that is hardly the case - then better to say nothing I reckon. Of course that probably wasn't an option for him given the embarrassment he had caused.
