had a nice drink with him in his local pub. didn't want to bust his balls as he looked like it had been a long day. as we watched the arse v barca game i even resisted the temptation to say "could be us in 6 years time".
we chatted about a few things i, i told him the couple of things that disappointed me about their campaign, i agreed with him it was good to stuff spurs, i gave him my idea of what i would like to happen to the ground once we leave which i think he liked and said leave it with him. It was mainly a chance for us to sit down and have a beer, a lot of what i wanted from him he had already given to 2 people on here already so it wasn't worth me asking him again about seats, seating arrangements etc etc.he explained to me about the fans panel, which i expressed an interest in, but nothing is definate about that yet. for me personally until they put out their plans for the fans to see it just a case of sitting and waiting.
i think the man is defiantly worth his money and the fact he reads everything on here has no bearing on my judgement (that was a joke)
i look forward to seeing the stadium once the tours finally happened, something me and other mywhufc helpers were offered before xmas but due to the stadium being arseoles (my words not his) he couldn't manage to arrange it. i still believe the club picture bears no resemblance to what we see on the live pictures and for me i think the seating down the sides is more important than behind the goals. he said he will try and see me at the burnley game.
one thing we both agreed on is that there seems to be too many threads on here about the olympic stadium .
im not a great note taker. we disagreed a bit about his former employers newham council and whether they did anything for the people of newham, but all in all a pleasant evening.
IF the club do what they say they will do then as unpalatable as the move is to me, sometimes you just have to go with the flow and see where it takes us. im not selling out my principles or my belief the move is wrong its just the time to protest is too late, the decision has been made. me or no one will stop it from happening. i told him i think the bid process was flawed in that spurs bid was never going to be accepted as it failed in so many aspects and that they should not have made the final 2, he explained that they had to have due diligence on 2 bids so the public cant accuse them of handing over a 500 million pound stadium to a football club without the process being correct.my take on that is perhaps spurs were patsys, just there to window dress the process and the stadium was always ours from the day we agreed to keep the track.
