Re: Does Barry Hearn merit an asterisk yet?
According to Barry we have announced a plan to give free tickets away, as we have a 30,000 FANBASE to fill a 60,000 seat stadium.. Er, fanbase and average attendance are different things Barry. But he's also considered the (considerably less lucrative) route of moving to Basildon or Harlow. Harlow Town wouldn't dream of legal obstacles to get some free wedge out of Orient I'm sure.

Re: Does Barry Hearn merit an asterisk yet?
well the PL statement has basically just made Hearn look like a complete idiot. He actually wrote to them supporting Spurs then comes out with this? is he really that ****ing stupid.
Its now clear to everyone that he is just trying to get some money for nothing. What a ****.

Re: Does Barry Hearn merit an asterisk yet?
With his bluff failing miserably, he's now going to have to put up or shut up. All that telly money meant for the holiday to Vegas for the squad and adding stability to his club; squandered on blood sucking lawyers for an issue he has already prejudiced in the media and in writing to the PL.

Re: Does Barry Hearn merit an asterisk yet?
On the face of it he has a case according to the PLs own rules, but if you factor in
his alleged willingness to move out of the borough in the past,
and his argument that West Ham in the O/S will affect his attendances yet Spurs in the O/S will not,
then his logic (not to mention his motives) has to be questioned.
I still think he will win some kind of concession, be it the hockey stadium or a big bung to keep quiet from the PL.
He is no doubt consulting Mr McCabe at this very moment, and will sue WHU too given half-a-chance.

Re: Does Barry Hearn merit an asterisk yet?
I like his reasoning though, West Ham moving to Stratford will affect Orients gates so then, can they move to
Stratford as well?
f*** off Hearn, go down ***** Hart Lane and suck Levy off again.

I understand the preferred modern spelling is C n u t. Quite appropriate.Ironworx wrote:Hearn need to acquaint himself with the factors of the real world rather than to cut some King Canute type figure trying to ward off the inevitable.

West ham United play at home one week, Orient play at home the other week.
What's the issue?

Re: Barry Hearn
SSN just reported that the application had been ratified. They had the now obligatory interview from Barry He*rn with no mention of the statement from the FA rebutting his claims. I can't believe that they don't know about the FAs response so I am guessing that they are choosing to ignore it.

Re: Barry Hearn
Funny thing is the **** doesn't see the harm having Tottenham in Stratford would do to us... oh wait he does... but he couldn't make money off West Ham whilst they're away... Hi Spuds fans want to come watch Orient whilst your maint eam is away! we cna be your second club!

Coops, most of the time with Sky it's just who shouts the loudest who gets heard.
They're not really interested in balanced reporting, rather which story in the most sensationalist or sexy........Harry Burn to them is sexy, to us he's a grinning, two faced maggot.

Re: Barry Hearn
I think they are missing a trick, they should have had a copy of the FAs statement and a print out of googlemaps ready to shoot him down in flames. But I guess if they did that they wouldn't be able to interview him again so we can hear him say the same thing tomorrow.davids cross wrote:Coops, most of the time with Sky it's just who shouts the loudest who gets heard.

Re: Barry Hearn
Hopefully they will report the FA statement later in the day, if someone gives them a nudge. Won't hold my breath though.
