It would be interesting if we reversed our position on the Olympic stadium , and decided we would not move there .

The Government has said it must have a track .......therefore we don't get it , Spurs don't get it .

They don't get a hand out , we don't get a loan.......

They stay at the Lane, we stay at the Boleyn.........

Everyone wins .Nobody loses .

This is from Dan Roan - the BBC guy;
15:42 Regardless of result of hearing, today has done little for reputation of WestHam/Newham partnership - key to making 2012 stadium viable...
...and if Spurs/Orient do win it casts doubt on London's chance of winning right to host '17 World Athletics Champs, lots at stake in Court2

They start redeveloping the Lane, we do nothing and in a few years time UK athletics goes bust and they decide that they need some money for the site and we build a new 'football' stadium there.

This is where the whole thing starts to unravel .

Spurs don't want Stratford - they clearly never have .They want a hand out - which they'll get .

At the same time they are seeking to ensure we pay more i.e forego the loan .

We then will have less to spend on converting the stadium , meaning it will forever remain unsuitable for football .

Especially as they will seek cast iron legal assurances the running track remains .

I haven't even had to wait 3 years to say it...........

Reverse your decision Mr Gold and Mr Sullivan .

You know what, I actually think we should pull out of the stadium bid. If only to pull the rug from beneath spurs feet.

It's not going to happen though !

Why is it that everything we try and do to better ourselves or progress goes wrong !

One minute Spuds/DisOriented are on the verge of giving up, having had talks with Boris et al, the next they are granted a
Judicial review. It all sounds rather fishy to me, and I wish I could share TPP's confidence that the government will hold firm on
their insistence that there must be a track at the O/S: If there is tumbleweed blowing across the stadium for 95% of the year it
will be labeled a White Elephant and they will get the flak.

Does anyone know the details of the proposed Newham/WHU deal and on what grounds the judge has decided that it
constitutes "State Aid" ?

Can Spuds expect a hand-out from the State while at the same time demanding that we forego one?

Pinky, any Idea if a realistic and sensible option for the East stand has been put forward or looked into ?
Or are the Daves just not entertaining the idea?
