I have learned never to trust anyone or anything connected to Spurs. They are all two faced and absolute scum - I have known quite a few during my life and all match that criteria. West Ham could have accepted their offer but don't forget that Orient would still keep it going... probably funded by Spurs.MADMOORE wrote: This debacle should have been ended on that offer which should have been excepted imo.

Re: Attempting to pervert the course of justice....
In general terms, you can make whatever offer you like to settle civil disputes and ongoing legislation. It is a different game when criminal allegations have been made.
By way of example, if UTJ owes me £500 and I issue a claim for recovery, he can offer me £500, £250 or 1p to drop it, or say see you in Court.
If UTJ is accused of giving me a beating, I call the police who investigate the matter, and he offers me a sum of money to drop the charges would be a criminal offence,
There are of course grey areas. If I report UTJ to the police for theft of my £500, and he responds by saying "this is a misunderstanding, I thought you agreed to a loan, here is your £500 can we call it quits" it may not be.
We don't know the full facts, but this is starting to look murky.

And how does it look now that West Ham admit they are in negotiations with Spurs to sell Scott Parker !!!!
I mean WTF ?
Even if it does not go through if things were that bad between the clubs no way would the do business, it just does not add up to me, a lot of posturing and empty threats imo.

That's just business the player wants to go so no point in keeping him, might as well get as much as you can for him even if it is from spurs and be able strengthen the squad in other areas, than let him go on a cut price deal to anyone else.MADMOORE wrote:And how does it look now that West Ham admit they are in negotiations with Spurs to sell Scott Parker !!!!

What is?
There are suggestions that this is nothing but a war of words.
I was wondering, given the thread title; has their been any course of justice commenced, if there's been no actual complaint made to the police?

I copied and pasted this .........
"West Ham said police contacted them after the club issued a statement claiming that Tottenham had offered to withdraw a legal challenge to the stadium decision if the Hammers dropped the criminal complaint.
West Ham said police have asked for the letter in which the alleged proposal was made. Scotland Yard said it would not comment on an ongoing investigation. Tottenham have also declined to comment on the allegations but privately reject the suggestion that they offered a deal to West Ham on the terms alleged.
Telegraph Sport understands that Tottenham are however seeking legal indemnity from future litigation and the current criminal complaints, as a condition of their negotiations with London Mayor Boris Johnson over building a new stadium in Haringey."

Spurs offer to drop the judicial review and West Ham's refusal tells me two things.
West Ham are confident about the outcome of the JR
Spurs are seriously worried they will end up in the dock.

And you wonder if every club that's dealt with Spurs is wondering whether Spurs were snooping on them to gain an advantage in transfer negotiations.
It explains the Carrick deal.
