Just because they are using them for proganda purposes doesn't mean they are actualy taking a decision based on the results of them! And what non-existent polls or do you mean the undisclosed market research that none of us has taken part in.

I was told by the club that a yougov poll was carried out when we first won the bid which showed that 82% of fans were in agreement to West Ham moving to Stratford. Also Sullivan (in the Ian Dale interview) quoted another non existant poll which had 87% in favour of the move.

the second poll was a premier league poll done back at the end of 2010, 6 months after the daves had bought the club, and before they changed their mind and said the running track will stay. The you gov poll is a strange one as we don't know when it was done or who it was carried out on behalf , possible relates to one fond by I think the BBC which asked Londoners as a whole who would they prefer to get the stadium, spuds who will knock it down, or WHU who won't. No surprise in either of the voted really. The strange thing is the club use these polls in their presentations to the SAB yet still will not commit officially to a poll of just West Ham fans that attend games, preferring to "take fans on a journey"

What does telling 60 people actually achieve? They can't pass on the information so what exactly is the point?
Alternatively, if they feel they can tell 60, then why not 100? If 100 why not 500 and so on?

That's a great sentiment and exactly the right stipulation to make, but which other major ground (other than Old Trafford) comes close to the Boleyn in terms of proximity to the pitch? Look at the distance behind the goals at the Emrirates etc.

they have sent out an update to all those that have signed up, it was also in OLAS, the long and short of it is there will not be a poll, no surprise there, but cos they signed a secrecy agreement they won't say anything, other then some club PR and we won't be told any details concerning the stadium till after May. By then it will be decided which companies will be sharing the stadium. WHU's view are now working with the club as part of the so-called consultation, oh yeah and they got to meet someone famous

As part of WHU's VIEW, but not one who went to the meeting so haven't signed any secrecy agreement, I can understand how it may look to some but don't agree that Adie has summarised the situation accurately. The club say they will consult but it appears wont hold a yes / no poll. So they have not agreed to WHU's VIEW's request for an independent poll of members & season ticket holders. The club say they cannot release their plans for the stadium although these were shown to SAB members in strict confidence. It is not known when they will release these - the club say they are not permiited to do so by the OPLC. WHU's VIEW continues to push for an independent poll and whilst we would work with the club on such a poll at present there seems no prospect of this happening. WHU'S VIEW have in no way sold out. Some of us met before the game yesterday and we remain committed to the policy of no move without backing of the fans.

I never said WHU's view had sold out, in your update you say you are now working with the club in some sort of fans consultation. What part of my post didn't you agree with, I thought I summed it up quite well, post the update on here and let people make their own mind up, I do all my e-mailing and internet stuff on my dog so I don't know how or even if it's possible to cut and paste. What exactly is a full consultation of fans when it's at home ?

Aide, wind your neck in, you've gone off in a huff to try and stop the move happening, you won't achieve that by behaving like a kid throwing your toys out of the pram. If you'd stuck around you would know what was/is going on and what happened when we met the club. What evidence have you got WHUs view is working with the club, none because there not.

your update says you are working with the club, have a read of it. I left WHU's view cos the committee were telling people you were going to meet Brady to discuss a poll when you knew they weren't gonna agree. I read that in an e-mail sent to me by your committee, in fact you probably sent me quite a few e-mails you shouldn't have, good job I didn't sign any confidentiality forms. We got strung along for so long, we had discussed doing our own poll and we should have done just that instead of letting the club mug us off. And I do know what's going on, remember I was still recieving e-mails from your committee.

You can't run a poll if you don't know if the club will bid or not yet? While we may all believe it's all bull**** when they say "we may not bid" but if a poll was carried out and then the club didn't bid, would seem a bit foolish wouldn't it.

if the club doesn't bid then happy days, who gives a monkeys if we look foolish if it means we are staying at Upton Park, it ain't about how any of us look, it's about the fans having their say and hopefully staying at the Boleyn. But seems they have spent over a million quid on the first and second bid it's pretty certain they are gonna bid.

Brownout, you said you didn't agree that I'd summarised the situation accurately, well what did I get wrong ? I'd be interested to know. I said there'd be no poll, that the update quoted some of the club's PR in that they will carry out a full consultation of fans, it also said the club will take fans opinions into account, I also said that you were working with the club, which is in the third paragraph. What did I get wrong ? Mywhufc you say WHU's view is not working with the club, so who wrote the update and does that mean the update is wrong ? I look forward to your answers.

Suggestions are: Open Meeting? Do own poll? Both? Will decide by the time of the Reading game and further information then. If we do something like that we need maximum help and support and we would want it done before the end of the season. Apologies for apparent inertia. We have felt the need to talk with the Club, have been tied up in confidentiality agreements and have been going through the same thought processes as you.
