WHU's view meeting with Brady

Postby DD on Sat Mar 03, 2012 1:31 pm

I may have missed an update but wasn't there a WHU's view meeting the other night with the Board or Brady at least....or have the Club insisted on another confidentiality agreement on that as well

Meeting was with Brady and those that attended had to sign the same confidentiality agreements as the members as the SAB. Though the mechanics of the bid wernt discussed as it was at the SAB meeting. An agreed update will be out soon. As much as I would like to say more about the meeting, I'll wait until the update.

My guess is nothing will be said or written anywhere on this subject until after 23rd March 2012.

Can anyone from Whu's view update us on whether there will be a ballot please - the single item requested , and according to a story on this website , promised by Karren Brady in a letter to WHU's view in December .........

As the only person to attend both, I'm as frustrated as anyone at not being able to update on either. Prob Thursday for the WHUs view meeting but as for the SAB meeting, still waiting for minutes to be sent out which should set out what can or cant be said.
I don't think I'm stepping over the line in saying that the club outlined 3 conditions on moving that have to be met, otherwise deal is off.
1 is as David Gold has said the "seats have to be no further away from pitch than they are at the Boleyn". He has said this publicly on more than 1occasion so I don't think I've breached the official secrets act in revealing that.

Sullivan said in his interview with Ian Dale on West Ham till I die there won't be no poll, Brady has also said there won't be no poll, as for Gold saying no seat further away than the Boleyn, who's gonna pay for them, he said at the fans forum they couldn't afford to put in claret n blue seating so I can't see them paying for retractable seating otherwise they'd be shouting it from the rooftops. All this misinformation is the clubs way of stalling any protest against the move, Brady said back in November they'd meet with WHU's view to discuss a poll then stuttered and stalled till the last day of Febuary only to say no to a poll, any decisions made will be outside of the football season to make it hard for any protests. They know if they had seats right up to the pitch they would get the majority of fans in support of the move, so why all the secrets ? Simple, they ain't gonna do it and they know we won't like the truth, last thing they want is protests at the Boleyn, especially if the game is on tv.

Lets hope he's comparing like with like and not the back of the West Stand with the front row of the Olympic Stadium?

If the lack of info is related to the OPLC secrecy then that is more understandable than the constant changing of mind re the ballot.
Suppose we should just wait for the WHU's view update but I think the Club are making a massive PR error by not engaging with enough fans. They must have seen the results of the latest poll. Question is; are they too arrogant to take any notice.

I know my view on it Headbanger

As someone who will criticise the club when it's due, I do believe that their hands are tied by the OPLC bidding system and the information restrictions placed on them.

I

I would turn that back on you and say are they stupid enough to take notice of a poll of less than 2.5% of the club's attending fanbase and one that is probably a totally unrepresentative cross-section of that fanbase.

nearly sixty fans have been told club secrets about the Olympic Stadium and not one fan is prepared to let the rest of us in on these secrets. Very disappointing that people don't think we are worthy of knowing what they have been told. WHU's view believe that season ticket holders and club members should have a vote on whether we move or not yet don't think we should be let in on the secrets. Ssssshhhhhhhhhh, do as you're told !

I think if mywhufc who has been one of the most vocal opponents of the move can understand and accept the need for confidentiality then anyone should. It's not about whether we are worthy of being told, it's about whether they can tell us and no matter if its the club or the OPLC that's insisting on confidentiality, to breach that trust could either damage the relationship between the club and it's fans or the clubs bid for the O/S.

cos someone who was at the meeting told me they could not tell me any details cos they had signed confidentiality forms. The fact they had to sign these forms it's pretty clear whatever they were told are secrets.

And yet Brady and Gold have previsously quoted the last KUMB poll and other non existant polls on numerous occasions!
