Name the surrounding areas
As we all know there will be plenty of walkways, bridges and park areas at the site of the new stadium and in another thread I was joking about some ideas on how to name them.
Brooking Bridge
Bonds St
Greenwood's Walk
Lyall's Lake
Route 66

Re: Name the surrounding areas
The main approach to the stadium would obviously be Route One.
Two intersecting paths would be the David Cross-Roads.
You'd leave your motor in the Tony Carr-Park.
Waterways would be the Trevor Brook-ing, or the Peter Bra-Brook.
We could plant a few trees and call it the Ron Green-Wood.

Re: Name the surrounding areas
There was a similar thread on WHO the other day. As I pointed out there the LLDC won't countenance areas in the park itself being renamed but I reckon newham would be up for it in areas outside the park. I reckon a good chance would be renaming the 'greenway' between west ham station and the park 'west ham way'.
As the second most important route to the stadium it makes sense, and It'd also have a symbolic value,..

A reminder for those that need it that we will have precious little, if any, control over our new rented home .gavrosh wrote:There was a similar thread on WHO the other day. As I pointed out there the LLDC won't countenance areas in the park itself being renamed
Brave Sir Robin needs to deliver something for his 100.000 free tickets a year .gavrosh wrote: but I reckon newham would be up for it in areas outside the park. I reckon a good chance would be renaming the 'greenway' between west ham station and the park 'west ham way'.
