Moving out of Olympic Stadium ??

Post by martin allen fan club »

Im on verge of phoning round to bookies to see what the odds are of us not being there within the nxt 20yrs . I really dont see us fans liking the view there thus effecting attendance in a big stadia . Then also seeing the board whoever it maybe thinking as we cant own the stadium due to Tottenham court fight to stop this we may want to generate our own income .
Im thinking for example to dagenham ford site . Building hotels nightclubs pubs resturants casinos ect ect . I just cant see this move being permanent tbh . More a short term to clear debts and making us more attractive to an overseas investor .

I believe that once fans have been to the o.s and experienced the poor sight lines and distances from the playing area that the stadium will become hugely unpopular, much the same as juventus, bayern munich, espanyol fans who disliked watching football across a running track and have all since moved to purpose built stadiums, of which juventus new stadium cost 90million pounds.I hope that in the future someone comes along with the financial clout to build us a proper football stadium.

We'll never be able to afford to move.

Not feasible. The last site we looked at was parcel force at west ham station, decided against it due to proximity to gas silo's!

We are at the olympic stadium to stay, well... atleast for the 100 year lease

well if we do move out we can kiss east London goodbye. There'd be nowhere else to build a stadium.

Distance from the pitch will be a matter of opinion and possibly not everybodys cup of tea but IMO the sight lines are good!!

You are correct that everyone will have different opinions and experiences at the o.s, I had a seat at the Olympics two rows from the front at would be about level with the penalty box, I did not enjoy the view across to the opposite side and spent most of the time watching the big screen, but I do prefer to watch a game from the upper tier, but the best seats in the upper tiers at the o.s will be further away than the worst seats in the upper tiers at Upton park.
