Rio, seriously , what were you expecting ?

The fans currently in the BML and Chav corner will be spread to the back of the so called Kop stand and the outer edges /

Sorry to keep banging on about it but what exactly is in it for the fans who currently go week in week out ?
A choice - Cheap seats with poor view, or expensive seats with reasonable view.
I hope that the 85% who voted in favour of the move aren't going to complain when they realise these are the choices on offer.
Of course there is the third option which Ms Brady has already outlined to Pinky.

As i currently do about 6 home games a season that cost me about £300, and do about 10 aways which cost me about the same including rail travel, i will buy the cheapest season ticket available, which will cost about the same as my current 6 game expenditure, and give the ticket to friends and family when i cannot attend, i shall carry on with the majority of aways.
Of course i shall be investing in a good pair of binoculars!

Certainly wasn't naive enough to expect anything else. But after listening to Gavin wax lyrical about atmosphere and then asking what would aid it, the look on his face when I suggested it was priceless. You could literally see the pounds flashing before his eyes.

21,000 fans in that East stand will make a **** ton of noise, especially with the sound bouncing roof.

More to the point it's created an amazing carnival atmosphere for all home games:

Answer to the question - no.

However oh yes it will be like a carnival especially in the freebie seats

Not on current form; relegation doesn't seem as likely as it is for Dortmund.

So the 54k Football capacity OS is going to actually having more than 74,000 seats with 20k of them covered up in football mode:

http://www.claretandhugh.info/olympic-s ... 000-seats/

Screams to me that we could absolutely 'do a Dortmund'.

The covered-up up 20k seats will obviously be up in the gods, so why not sell them dirt cheap and get a potential 74k fans watching West Ham?

That's potentially 20k extra spending money on catering, merchandise and parents bringing kids who could become WH fans for life.

I understand the Blue areas are the 20k seats in questions. Sell them for £5 a ticket.

Doesn't need to £289 for the cheapest season ticket.

Seats in those areas couldnt be used in European games but there's nothing stopping them being used in the Premier League as there is no distance restriction. What would be needed is more toilets (about 350) and mobile food and drink stalls, as well as a non-material planning amendment that allows for games of up to 75,000. The biggest constraint is concerns about crowd sizes coming into and leaving the stadium, and there would likely be more road closures which would not go down well with Westfield.
