Now that the move to the Olympic Stadium is little more than a year away, and we know much of the migration plans/policy, I'm considering closing this forum and moving all open discussion into the GD forum.

Should anyone agree/disagree strongly, please reply below.

Will some stuff be put into the archive then ? Some of the classic Leyton Orient/Hearn/groundshare debates for instance ?

I would prefer this forum to remain.
It used to be difficult finding stuff spread out over 2 or more pages on the GD.

I'd probably prefer for this OS section to remain, but perhaps with a link to it at the top of the GD page?

Move it to the main forum. More people read that and when there have been occasional threads on main forum they have got more posts and some people have been surprised to read things that have been discussed on here for some time.

Any chance of a sync between the two?

I'm just thinking the GD gets a new thread once every 2 minutes roughly.

So if this forum updates in sync with the GD whenever a relevant topic is posted on for example (topic goes to the top of both forums)..... It will be easier to come back into the OP forum to find the thread should it not be used for 4 or 5 days or even a few weeks?

But as the threads will also be synced to GD when they are being discussed they'll be open to a wider range of people as I'm fairly sure a lot of people forget to check here but everyone looks on the GD....

If a topic's not updated for a few weeks in GD I'd imagine it's never going to be seen again.... So doing this might save a lot of starting new threads just because old ones can't be found?

I might be overthinking this hugely

Keep it where it is. I'd get drawn into the rubbish threads if it was on the GD. ;)

Burn it and scatter the ashes in the seven seas.

It's been like talking about the lost city of Atlantis.

Definitely a good idea to move it to increase participation.

Might need to be more heavily modded than other threads on there though to keep them on track.

This forum does tend to be missed but I think merging it into the GD runs the risk of cluttering that forum up with a lot of OS discussion. I guess leaving it as it is makes more work for the mods in moving threads and reminding people though?

I lean towards leaving as is, but there again I look in here on most days to see if anything new has been added.
