Tempo went staright down towards the end of the second half, and the bet lived a dangerous life at times, but it held
Tbf, this is the best I have seen Brann play this season so they look good value next match.
Easy money!

Had a fiver on Saints 4 - 0 at 12-1 so happy with that
Also had us though at 4-0 and so lucky I just didn't do the double.

Re: Official Betting Thread
Good odds on City to win tonight and the league. All prices floating around 3/1 to which I think is excellent value.

What happens if you win.SammyLeeWasOffside wrote:Bet365 are doing the free £50 thing on the Manchester derby.
Do you keep all of the winnings, or do you have to use all of the winnings on the site?
Or, do you keep all the winnings, minus the original £50, which must remain on the site?

You place a bet pre match and then place a bet in running to the same stake. If the 2nd bet loses you get that stake back. If it wins it is just a regular bet (you get winnings and stake).rare as rockinghorse shat wrote: What happens if you win.

Last time they did this someone on here suggested having £50 on something that is bound to happen (ie over 0.5 goals) pre game and then having the free £50 on something more speculative in running.
People seemed to like that plan so i thought I would point out the offer was on again.

Re: Official Betting Thread
Over 0.5 goals is a good one to virtually guarantee your 50 back. It surely cant be 0-0.
Then use the other 50 on something you fancy. Tevez anytime would get you between 70-100 back.

Re: Official Betting Thread
The way to play the 365 bet is this................I've done this £50 free bet at least 3 times before.....there is no twist, you keep the winnings but not the stake. The risk is about £3 or £4 for a free £50 bet.
Back Man City on 365 for £50 at 2.10.....your winniings will be £55.00
Go to Betfair and lay Man City @ 2.22 for £48......your loss will be £58,56 on City & a win of £45.60 on Man Utd & the draw...including your 5% commission.
So your maximum loss on both the 365 bets and the Betfair bets will be - £3.56 on City & -£4.40 on the draw and Utd win.
However, you now have a £50 IN RUNNING free bet...............if you win this bet you keep the winnings. If you lose it will be refunded.
And your maximum loss will be £4.40............SO, in summary you are risking about £4, but you get a free £50 bet, of which you keep the winnings. I WILL be doing this bet too,

Re: Official Betting Thread
i did something similar to DC last time except on goals.
£50 on over 0.5 @1/3 goals wins £16
then £6 on 0-0 at 14/1. with sportingbet wins £90
worst case is £10 up with a free £50 bet
What i really need is some advice on where to go with the free £50, made a right bollox of it last time
Edit: Ok in a rush read the wrong market the 1/3 is over0.5 1st half goals but the principle is the same thing (just less guaranteed money

Yeah,SammyLeeWasOffside wrote: What i really need is some advice on where to go with the free £50, made a right bollox of it last time
just to add, you will have to take a tiny loss on the pre match prices because the "lay" prices on Betfair are bigger then the "back" prices on 365....this is normal.
My free £50 will normally just go on the team I think will win. Nothing fancy for me
Also, check this offer is available to you. Normally an e mail is sent or a message left in your 365 inbox. And make sure your IN RUNNING bet is done after the match starts.

Not sure if they've something to prevent this or I'm missing something blatantly obvious but..rare as rockinghorse shat wrote:What about a guaranteed profit?

Odds on no-draw are 2/7, odds on draw are 12/5.
If I were to bet £35 on no-draw before the match, and with my free £35 put it on a draw as soon as the match kicks off, would I be guaranteed a win?
My reasoning (assuming odds don't change 2 seconds into the game):
£35 no-draw @2/7 = £10 (+ stake) return.
or
£35 on draw @12/5 = £84 (no stake as in-play bet).
Am I missing something here?- all seems too easy

It was me that bought it up. Still think it is a good bet even if you don't do the arbing on Betfair.SammyLeeWasOffside wrote:What about a guaranteed profit?

Cheers for pointing it out slwo didn't know they were doing it tonight, will be taking them up on their offer again tonight. Will put up my bet, but will probably go for something a bit longer than +0.5 goals tonight.

Re: Official Betting Thread
They just want people betting sth. This is the kind of offer that attracts new business and unless the £50 is staked on something hugely speculative, the chances are the returns will remain in the account and be gambled anyway. The losses in the immediate may be fair, but over time they wont have incurred any loss and probably have a fair few new customers as well.
