PRAVALAGUNA in the 2.10 Naas tomorrow - mares listed contest. Has excellent form based off her 4th in her chase debut back in May - 3rd recently came a close second in a grade 1 at Sandown and is rated 145. Was kept in over summer and came straight out in December and won in commanding fashion. From the top Mullins stable. Winning that easily on 2nd chase start after a 7 month absence is extremely encouraging and plenty of scope for improvement here.

EMPIRE BURLEQUE E/W in the 3.40 Naas tomorrow - raced in a hot maiden hurdle here and finished 4th of 22 back in November. Has only raced on right handed tracks since and has put in some fair performances. Handicap mark remains untouched and hopefully the return to a left-handed track can spark some improvement.

Taken a good look at Punchestown tomorrow and have come up with 3 selections:

2.50 - DISCORDANTLY - 4/1
Solid form, having beaten Emily Moon twice who romped home today at Naas. He also didn't finish far behind Fakir D'Oudaires recently who is now one of the favourites for the Supreme at Cheltenham. This is despite having a jockey on board who has only had 29 winners in 598 races. He is sure to improve for his 3rd hurdle race as he is only 5yrs old and has the vastly more experienced Robbie Power on board this time. The favourite's form took a blow today too.

3.50 - ST STEPHENS GREEN - 13/2
Purely going for value here. This one has question marks. But he won his beginners chase beating Winter Escape who was recently well backed in a grade 1 chase. Third place in that race also has won since. This horse regularly mixes it on the flat too so it's a bit of a dodgy one, but he has 7 wins in 21 career races. He's clearly a real gutsy type and natural winner. 13/2 in a six runner race is very juicy for a horse with potential over fences.

http://www.bettingkingdom.co.uk/betting ... een/105706" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

4.20 - GENERAL PRINCIPLE EW - 17/2
Last year's Irish Grand National winner off 139. Races today off 142. Proven stayer and a 3lb raise should be coped with ok. The other horses in this race have question marks on their performances over this marathon 3m4f distance. There are a few unknowns who could do well, but that's where William Hill paying 6 places in a 17 runner race at 1/5 odds comes in handy. Even if he just places at these odds it's a good ROI, and he is proven to stay all day.

Good luck if you play

Racing in the UK is back tomorrow :D

Picked out three:

2.30 Southwell - Royal Cosmic - looks very progressive since changing stables and the handicapper was lenient after he destroyed his rivals last time out. Proven C&D winner.

3.00 Southwell - Busy Street - last time out he defeated a horse who had previously beaten 2 other horses rated 5/6lb higher than him running off level weights. This was Busy Street's first attempt over 2 miles on AW and must surely go on from that effort - the handicapper has only raised him 3lb here though so great chance

2.10 Plumpton - Baddesley Knight - 2/2 at this racecourse, impressive round of jumping last time in particular. Acey Milan opposes and had truly classy bumper form but that hasn't translated to hurdles yet and our one has the edge over him on a bit of form. Colditz Castle is the main threat but Im happy to back our one as he has proven he loves the track

All three were 9/4 around half an hour ago

Sorry about that!

Royal Cosmic is now a NR in the 2.30

Another one which seems well overpriced is Baillheigue Boy in the 3.10 Plumpton (got the time correct!), widely available at 9/1.

Just a word of warning- there could be a few non runners still due to the flu testing etc. Read last night about how a horse declared for Southwell today would not be confirmed if it could run or not until midday today... the owner was on a plane from Hong Kong (stopping over in Dubai) at the time but the trainer said he may aswell return to HK! That one was Screaming Gemini which I like in the 3.30 so we will see if it does run or not as it's not N/R yet.

DEISE ABA in the opener, 12.30, at Ascot.

Comfortably won its maiden over this trip. 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th have all won since - 2nd was Queenohearts who won a listed event next time out and then added a victory in a grade 2 race yesterday.

Second favourite in the market, I Can't Explain, won its maiden over a shorter trip and the form from that race has turned out well, but not quite as good as ours. He then struggled over this trip in its next race finishing 13 lengths behind the eventual winner, who failed to frank the form going down by 18 lengths in its next outing.

More to come from our selection you'd think - was 13/8 yesterday but now best priced 11/8.

Cheltenham around the corner. Come on people, what antepost bets/fancies have you currently got? Let's share some ideas.

Norwich are best priced at 6/5 to win at Millwall today, PNE are 13/10 & Middlesboro' are 17/10, all good value I think.

I'm there on day 1 and fancy Fakir D'oudairies in the Supreme if it runs in that race. I saw Knocknanuss win impressively at Newbury in November and think he will be placed in the Arkle if (and it's a big if) he gets round. My nap for the week (though not a big price) is Paisley Park in the Stayers on Thursday especially as he is owned by a Hammer.

Looking forward to the tipping competition.

You going to be entering the £5 one? I hope I get plenty of runners for that!

Fakir is my pick from the Supreme too. Looked absolutely awesome last time out and if he can quicken when put under pressure then he wins. Good price too, but then again the Supreme is a wild one to predict.

I was ultra-pissed when I heard about Penhill being withdrawn - he had an amazing chance and was being written off just because of Paisley Park being good... obviously now that Penhill is out I will be cheering on Paisley Park due to the West Ham connection and also the story, would be a very popular winner. Would love to see Faugheen win too!

Sir Erec in the Triumph seems to be the banker at the mo (other than Altior) but every festival has a dodgy banker fall short!

In the Arkle, I like Kalashnikov at a price (confirmed to be running in his race). This track is a lot more suitable and his trainer is still extremely confident in his ability - every chance he just had an off day last time out.

TARAAYEF looks overpriced to me on handicap debut in the 7.55 at Chelmsford. Her maiden and racecourse debut over C&D was a good effort - the horse finishing ahead of her is now rated 82, but Taraayef's opening mark is 66 - this is due to her next two efforts, but one was over too long a trip and the other one she was conceding 1 stone and 4lb to all opponents. This represents a better chance and 28/1 is huge and definitely not the kind of price a handicap debut here should be.

Had a 4 fold acca come in, on the dogs last night.

I'm have so much more success with the dogs, than I do the horses, for some reason.

CALL ME LORD is a good price 15/2 in the Imperial Cup handicap hurdle at Sandown Park tomorrow. He came a very close 2nd last year running off the same top weight, but could have come first had he had a bit more luck having been squeezed on the rail in the run in. He won the three other times he raced at Sandown, so is a good course specialist. No issues with the ground. Most firms are paying an enhanced 5 places (this is a 15 runner race) at 1/5 odds, or you can get the normal quarter odds 3 places at bet365.

Take your pick, but I can't see him finishing down the field and he has a cracking chance.

Other selections tomorrow are MISTERCOBAR in the 2.50 at Hereford. Finished 2nd last time out and has been raised only 2lb... the winner was raised 6lb and subsequently bolted up by a longer distance in a higher class race. No class sorts in this race so 8/1 widely on offer is great value with just seven runners.

and ISLAND OF LIFE in the 3.15 at Wolverhampton. Some good sorts here, including Oh This Is Us but I think he would prefer a mile... this 7f trip should favour our horse who is unexposed and is on for a fourtimer since having wind surgery and cheekpieces fitted. Andrea Atzeni, class jockey, has been booked so surely expecting a big run. Main danger for me is Documenting, so perhaps do a reverse forecast. Our horse is 11/2

Two more on top of yesterday's selections... KATPOLI in the 1.20 at Sandown. A cut above the rest of the field in terms of class and therefore 100/30 is a very good price if he can leave last time out's run behind him. Has some good form in the book in terms of races he's contested, this opposition isn't as tasty.

INVOLVED E/W in the 7.00 Kempton - step up in trip likely to be a positive. Has run well enough in defeat. 8 runner race so perfect ew opportunity - best price 10/1 currently
