BBC top earners (sports)

Post by Everard »

Not sure if this is the appropriate forum but....

Lineker - £1.8m
Shearer - £500k
Mohammed - £250k

Money for old rope. All aboard the BBC gravy-train.

No presenter at the BBC should be earning that sort of money, IMO. I don't believe that it's such a unique and rare talent that it's worth so many, many times the pay of a nurse, doctor, or someone in the emergency services.

If the commercial channels want to pay huge money to bring in 'names', let them. This is not why we fund the BBC, just as we don't fund the BBC to make itself into a third-rate gossip mag.
